Psion has in its Series 5 of palmtops an excellent range of products. There are basically three different types of Psion Series 5 palmtops (when you exclude the simpler REVOs), the original granite black coloured model, the special edition metallic green one and the more recent 5MX. There are very few differences other than aesthetical from the black to the green model; they share the same hardware specifications although the attractive green special edition did come with a brown leather case included. The 5MX comes with 16Mb as opposed to the 8Mb in-built EPROM memory the original models are equipped with. Psion palmtops are excellent tools for the busy businessman and entrepreneur or for students who cannot afford a computer. It comes with software within its EPOC operating system - word processing, spreadsheet, agenda, etc. If you own a mobile phone with infrared communication interface you can link up you Psion and surf the web, check email etc. Mind you the screen is monochromatic, so it’s a pretty basic Internet experience.
