I got my iPod Touch this christmas, and I literally haven't put it down since then! Apple have thought of everything! As well as all the previous functions (Music, video and photo playback) you can also surf the internet, download and play with apps and games, check your email, watch YouTube videos, listen to the radio, log into your MSN, AOL, Skype accounts etc... It also has built in Calendar, Address book, Clock, Calculator, and loads more!
It's pretty similar to the 1st gen except that it has built in speakers and a volume control button, it's thinner and sleeker than the original, and it's got a few more applications added on.
Anyway if you're looking to buy an iPod, definitely get the iPod Touch because it's got everything an MP3 Player could ever need! ...

First thing is first. With any Apple product you know it will be very expensive, very cool and pretty simple to use. I have been an Apple fan for a while and have have an iPod mini (4gb), iPod video (30gb) and now my iPod touch (as well as a Mac mini =] ).
If you are wanting an MP3 player that will just play your music then you may be put off the iPod touch as for the same price you can have a considerably bigger music player. However the Album Art scrolling feature- known as Cover Flow make it more interesting, and there is nothing more fun than scrolling through your albums with your fingers!

It is a shame that there is no MSN Messenger, but I could use Meebo or Messenger FX to go online and talk to my friends. Facebook and YouTube works great with the iPod as it's associated with Apple.
With all the music I purchased on iTunes, I synced them onto the iPod and I love the way the folders are organised and I love the cover flow, which shows CD albums and you can sweep them across to select a song or album. The thing is, you only can see the CD covers if they were purchased from iTunes. That means you won't see CD covers if you downloaded music from Limewire, purchased CDs and other download sources.
