Pure Digital Siesta

Ever since I can remember I have had a radio alarm clock. The idea of waking up in the morning to something other than an incessant beeping noise was perhaps the main appeal. A couple of years ago though my old analogue radio alarm clock gave up and stopped working and so a replacement was required. Update, January 2012 Sadly, I have to report this radio failed to turn on the other day. It seems to have developed a fatal fault and is now out of warranty. Quite a surprise and such a shame - so I've just re-rated this down to 3 stars, for questionable durability! Pure Digital Siesta: What is it? This is a digital radio alarm clock that can receive both DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) radio and FM radio stations. It's quite neat and comes in three different colours, black, charcoal and silver. When you first switch on the unit it goes through an automatic setup routine and tunes in all the DAB radios stations it can find. I have been after a DAB alarm clock for a long time, and have had some bad experiences. For example not being able to set the volume low enough, so that I am woken up and nearly given a heart attack every morning! In fact I have bought and thrown away 2 different DAB alarms so far. So I found the Pure SIesta, and thought I would give it a go, more exoensive than I would usually buy, but at least a well known brand that are experienced in the world of DAB.
