I honestly never thought I needed a waterfilter in my life, let alone that I'd grow to find it indispensible but in the case of my Brita Fjord Cool filter jug, that's exactly what's happened. I bought it on a whim as it was reduced to £10 in Woolworths and I decided to treat myself to something I considered at the time to be frivolous yet practical. There were a few Brita filter jugs on offer at the same price and I chose the Fjord Cool model simply because it looked a bit sleeker and sexier than the others available.
As soon as I got home, I quickly decided to test out my new 'gadget.' I bought this one from Argos for £19.95. My earlier one bought from Woolworths was not "worth" keeping, and moreover I was getting bad smell from the water so I threw it off in the bin.
I feel great to have this waterfilter mainly for four reasons:
1. Clean water: This filter gives very purewater and you can feel it when you drink the water. There is no odour to the filteredwater and it tastes great.
2. Reminder to change the filter: It's small but useful facility on this filter that you need not to remember the date to change the filter.
3. Ease to pour water in the filter: It's very important to have convenience to pour water inside so when you are in rush you don't get pissed off.

We live in a hard water area in Bristol and are always having problems with limescale - we've been through many kettles in the last few years. My husband and I are used to the taste of the water now, so we don't really notice it, but when we have visitors they often complain about the drinks we serve. So, we were thrilled when my parents bought us a Brita Elemaris Cool WaterFilter jug for Christmas along with a refill pack of 3 MAXTRA cartridges. Apparently they were fed up of the strange taste of our tea!
