Advantages: Subwoofer, Different Connections Disadvantages: Unchangable Radio Frequencies
I bought this chair at the same time as Call of Duty 4, and they go very well together. There are 3 ways to connect sound to the chair. Firstly with the Aux In, there is a cable provided which allow connections to the TV with the headphone adaptor, or the red and white inputs. This means that it is possible to connect it straight to a console if you are using the scart socket. Secondly, there is a radio transmitter included which plugs into the headphone ... ...chair and transmitter. This means that there should be a free frequency which can be used. I could only use 2 out of the 3 because a radio station happens to have the same frequency as one of the preset frequencies. It would have been better if you could select a frequency, instead of having to use the presets. Thirdly there is an input for an iPod / MP3 player. This allows you to plug the headphone plug in, and listen to your own music.

Secondly, there is a radio transmitter included which plugs into the headphone of the source. There are 3 different settings on the chair and transmitter.
If you want to use the chair, there is an option to use your headphones with it. This means that none of the speakers or subwoofer is used. Alternatively, you can unleash the full power of the chair. Pump the bass up, turn the power up, sit back and prepare for the vibrations to come. With action games, the chair is brilliant because it vibrates while you are being shot, and also when you are shooting. When bombs are dropped, there is a massive thud from the subwoofer. The first time I used this, I did not realise how loud it actually was, and foolishly turned it up to full. Although it was great, neighbours didn't have the same view.
There is also an extra connection that allows you to have up to 5 chairs connected to the same input. This means that you can have 5 chairs next to each other connected, so that you all feel the game. The actual chair is very comfortable, but it does start to hurt after long periods of game play. We have used it so much that the chair has actually started to compact and the supports can start to be felt. It also folds away to save space, and is easy to set up and maintain. All you really need to get going is a power source where it can be plugged in. Just be sensible with the bass and sound levels.
Pyramat PM220 Sound Rocker Gaming Chair
This is a brilliant gamer chair with so many different features. Yes it does go with really well with games but it has way more uses that that. I have mine hooked upto my 42" Philips HDTV and my PS3. I play both my games and my music files through it. The sound is phenomenal! Many people would underestimate the power of this tiny chair but it really does give out a big bang. There are 3 controls on the right ... ...the bass and volume up for brilliant gaming and music, i myself am a fan of loud and expensive equiptment but this little but BIG package is really cheap and worth more than charged. I have now had this gamer chair since it came out and i always use it. Its easily put away because it folds, there is a storage compartment in the bottom and its the most confortable thing you could play on. You also have the option to put your IPOD/MP3 into a holster ...
