~They do have a tendency to disappear!~ I used to have lots of these casserole dishes in my kitchen cupboard, they never got broken, well not to my knowledge anyway, but somehow they just seem to have disappeared. Thinking about it though, they have been missing a while they seemed to have disappeared round about the time each of my daughters left home.....funny that! So I am now left with just 2 decent casserole dishes, which I might add, I'm very pleased about as I use them an awful lot, I'm just glad I have no more daughters left to leave home or I could have found myself with no casserole ... more

I have several Pyrex items and I use them frequently just because they are so practical. My Pyrex casserole dish is one which I have owned for over 10 years and it still works just fine, looks almost new and is as reliable as ever. Pyrex is definitely a brand to buy into and considering that they last a very long time they are good value for money. The Pyrex casserole dish which I have cost me £12 and holds 3.5 litres. I cannot believe that for such a sturdy item it is as cheap as £12, it's a shame they don't make pans as reasonably priced. The dish is deep and wide so that it holds a large ... more

Advantages Advantages It's generally a very good dish and very versatile

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing at all

I have had my Pyrex casserole dish for many years and it is still going strong with no chips or breakage at all. I have never dropped it but it has been well used, especially when the children were at home and my husband was still alive. It gets used now but not as much as it used to be. I have a lot of Pyrex things and they are always good quality. It’s rare, I think for anyone to have to replace a Pyrex dish through them breaking because they are so well made and meant to least. I use this now if the family come over and I use it in the oven to make a nice pinacculti (that’s a dish made with ... more

Quick dishes When it comes to cooking I am a big fan of quick dishes - pastas, stir-frys and so on. Anything that involves ten minutes of chopping and ten minutes of cooking suits me down to the ground - and with a manic three-year-old and a new baby, time to cook is becoming more and more unlikely! However I am also a fan of anything that involves chopping up some meat and veggies, chucking it all in a dish and popping it into the oven, and one meal I frequently make is a chicken casserole. Best of all, my daughter enjoys this too so I tend to make as much as I can and freeze small portions ... more

Although I am not one to spend money when unnecessary, I have spent a little extra on oven proof dishes as I always go for Pyrex dishes and bowls as I think their quality is unbeatable. I have a Pyrex casserole dish which I have owned now for a good couple of years and it is still in A1 condition now. It is used at least once every two weeks and is still going strong even now. They do their casserole dishes in both oval and round shapes and in all different sizes and the one I own is the round 2.0L casserole dish. This casserole dish is made from Borosilicate Glass and has high thermal shock ... more
