Pyrex Large Roaster

Pyrex do a really fantastic roasting dish for only £8.90 from Tesco. We have the largest one measuring 39cm x 25cm though you can actually buy these is a range of four different sizes according to your individual needs and what it is you are using it for.

We use ours for roasting all sorts of vegetables, from parsnips to potatoes. My other half also uses it to make lovely fruit crumbles and they turn out a treat in this as we find that because of the shape of the dish, the food is always cooked perfectly and evenly every time. We use it mainly for roasting large joints of meat and did the Christmas turkey in it last year. It is so large that it takes up the entire space on the oven shelf.

It is heat resitant and dishwasher and microwave safe. Pyrex is a brand I know and trust and it has been around for many years and I clearly remember my own mother using Pyrex dishes when I was small and living at home and I used to watch her make lovely things to eat and roasting the family joints in them.

It is heat resistant to three hundred degrees and made from toughened thickened glass and is therefore very durable. We have had ours for years and I have dropped it a few tmes but as yet it has shown not one sign of a chip or a crack or any sign of wear and tear so it is very strong and made to last as is the case with all Pyrex things.

It is so useful for a variety of different things and not just for roasting. It cleans well and is also stain resistant which is always a great thing to know.
