I know it's meant to be really Sad to confess to watching these Shopping Channels - but OK, I Confess!
QVC is actually quite entertaining, whether you are actually going to buy any of the goods or not. The presenters are obviously aiming to plug the products, but most of them have a bit of personality and some of the guests are fun too.
I can't remember all the names, but the Fitness guy Tony Little sticks in my mind. He couldn't possibly not, really - with his muscles and his long hair, he thinks he's every woman's dream. Not this woman- BUT he does have a fantastic bum! He's a talker too and obviously rates himself, but he is good at what he does i.e as a fitness guru and a salesman.
Sometimes they will have Comedienne turned jewellry designer Joan Rivers on - she's not too funny any more, but is just sell, sell, sell. The jewellry she brings is not bad but it's soooo expensive for what it is. Another person regularly on is Liz Earle who brings her facial and skincare products to sell. She's quite informative and you can pick up some good tips from her.
Unfortunately we've only bought a couple of things from QVC (or fortunately as the case may be). Both of the items have been for our home office - a Rexel Laminator and a Lexmark Inkjet printer. Both were probably around a tenner cheaper than we could have got them elsewhere and that's including the p&p charge too. So they were good deals.
They always say 'you can't buy cheaper' and they have a money back guarantee, but I wonder how often people actually do return items?
All in all, I can see how people can get hooked on buying on QVC it's too easy.See a product, pick up the phone, give them your credit card number - done. But I suppose that IS The idea though isn't it. It's worth taking a look, because they do have some bargains, and some nice jewellry too - but with that you can just look can't you - Diamonique looks nice on the screen, but it's still 'cubic zirconia' by another name and we'd rather have proper diamonds wouldn't we?

QVC is always good for a laugh. The guy with the 'fake' blond hair (I forget his name) was a late-night after-pub favourite for me. His finest moment was when he was trying to sell pots and pans. He opened one of the pots to reveal a whole chicken and said "Oh, look, it's a cross between a curry and....". He never did finish that sentence! Nice op, Cheers, G.

Review of QVC
Advantages: Cheaper than on the high street. At least, that's what they say. Disadvantages: You will lose those valuable funds and whatever else that has a price.
