The PSU is cooled by three fans, 2 x 80mm, and 1 x 120 mm, which you would expect to be noisy, but this wasn't the case. The quoted noise level of 29 dB seems nothing compared to another fan within my case. These fans are temperature controlled, so when the PSU is doing very little, ... .../>
The package contents are, the PSU, and not a lot else. Think a little manual wouldn't have gone a miss, maybe it was just mine that didn't have one, but I already knew what I was doing.
If I remember rightly, there are two pairs of molex plugs for IDE hard drive and CD drives, one S-ATA plug for S-ATA drives, the 20-pin ATX motherboard plug, and the P4 4-pin plug. Cable lengths are as follows, as these are a little shorter than ... more
When I upgraded to a 64 bit AMD Athlon, I upgraded a few other bits and pieces too. A new graphics card, new hard drive, and new CD-Rom drive, along with the new CPU, my old power supply just wasn't capable.

Molex, first connector 13", second connector +7" 20 pin ATX, 12" S-ATA, 11" P4, 11"
I hope these figures help. Just out of interest, here is the rest of my PC components for comparison:
AMD Athlon 3200 (Socket 754) Gigabyte GA-K8NNXP-Pro Radeon 9800 Pro 1 x Seagate 40 GB hard disk, IDE 1 x Western Digital 120 GB hard disk, IDE 1 x Maxtor Diamond Max10 300 GB hard disk, S-ATA 1 x DVD-RW, 1 x DVD/CD-RW 2 x 80mm case fans, one 120mm case fan
