Qlaira Contraceptive Pills

For 9 years I have battled with contraceptive pills. originally prescribed for teenage acne and since used for contraceptive purposes. I have had nothing but trouble. Low sex drive, heavy discharge and cervical erosion just to name a few, they were making my life miserable. And if i came off, wham, my acne came back. What a catch 22 situation. I tried monophasic pills, moved onto biphasic pills and finally triphasic pills before reading about Qlaira, a 4 phase pill which mimics the bodys natural cycle. This pill is meant to mimic the natural menstrual cycle as it changes the doses of estrogen and progesterone four times during each packet. It is also meant to have a more "natural" estrogen which is easier on the body. I had very high hopes for this pill as I have had a lot of trouble on the pill in the past. However, I was mostly dissappointed. For a start, my gums hurt and this was because of the hormones (and high levels of these hormones) in Qlaira - this also happens in pregnancy.
