Advantages Advantages Greatest Rock Band Ever

Disadvantages Disadvantages No more songs.... sob....

In the late 1960's, Roger Taylor, a drummer hailing from Truro, Cornwall and Brian May, a lead guitarist, from London (i think) were in a band called 'Smile' with vocalist Tim Staffell. In 1971, Staffell left, claiming the band was going nowhere, leaving 'Smile' without a lead singer. At the same time Freddie Mercury (then known as Fred Bulsara [real name: Farrokh Bulsara]) was leaving in London. Freddie was a keen artist, with musical talent. During his School days in India, he was the lead singer of a school band called 'The Hectics'. Freddie had previously sung with Ibex and Wreckage ... more

["The following op was written as my entry for the 29thCandidate's "Dinosaur Rock-Off;" a tribute to the memory of rock legend, John Entwistle, recently departed bass player of The Who, and a true artist in every sense of the word."] I have been struggling to choose one artist, track, album or group to write about in this, as I see it, collection of thoughts regarding people like John, and many other greats that have long since departed. My entry, therefore will not be a product review as such, it will be a tribute to the legacy that these talented people have left behind for us and future ... more

Advantages Advantages Sooo catchy, fantastic tune and melody, my all-time favourite

Disadvantages Disadvantages Absolutely none - amazing song

Wow! My favourite song of all time - I HAVE to write about this. Who doesn't like this song? It's a classic, and the Queen version is by far my favourite, as Queen are one of my favourite bands of all time, and their version of Crazy Little Thing Called Love is just amazing. I don't think I've ever heard the song and not sung along. It's even playing now on my computer. The very start of the song - the "chung-u-du-dung, cha-cha-chung-u-du-dung" strumming of the acoustic guitar sounds just amazing, and Freddie's voice is fantastic throughout. Roger, John, and Brian's backing vocals are stunning ... more

    Advantages Advantages First class band

Queen WILL never die! Their leading man might of died and they havent released a song since 1999 but their legend will live on forever! From day when one, when i was born I have been brought up on Queen. 24/7 I got queen music drilled into my head. These days i admit I have strayed alittle and listen to more pop and rock music but no-one will ever compare to them. Really music is dead compared to what music they used to do, that was really music! You could say it was "A Kind Of magic". These Days you have the likes of Robbie Williams trying to be Freddie Mercury but he of all people will never ... more

Since the dawn of time music has been an important part of the human race. Ceremonial and entertainment value which Queen have proven they can accomplish both easily giving them the right to be given the title of the Greatest band of Musicians ever to grace this earth. Since the forming of this band of lovable misfits audiences have been thrilled by their musical poweress.
