Question about Cerazette Contraceptive Pill

Answer by cheddasee

Nothing. I wouldn't recommend it though. If you miss a pill, you are supposed to take it right as soon as you notice. If you don't notice until your next pill, you take both. It won't do anything to you physically or mentally though. Remember, concraceptive pills aren't 100%, and you should take it every day at the same time, and always have a second form of protection.

Question about Cerazette Contraceptive Pill

Answer by sandemp

It is actually possible to get pregnant while taking the pill even if you take it on time. The only failsafe way of not getting pregnant is to not have sex. If you think you are pregnant then get a test done asap.

Will this pill make me gain weight?

I have just switched from the contraceptive implant to Cerazette after much excessive bleeding and a lot of wieght gain on the implant. My doctor says that even though the implant and Cerazette are both progestogen only contraceptives they won't necessarily have the same effect on me but I really don't want to put on any more weight and would like to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar when switching between these. Thanks.

Question about Cerazette Contraceptive Pill

Answer by fiercelou1990

I was told that the majority of women's weight stay the same whilst on this pill. I didn't gain any weight, although i was extra careful because last time i was on a pill (dianette) i gained 2 stone so i did watch what i ate. But because i was cutting back i lost half a stone so I don't think it affects your weight so just try to eat normally and if you notice a difference than maybe exercise more or then decide to cut back.

Is a more lubricated vagina a side affect?

I don't know whether it's just a natural change but I'm certain I never had this issue before, but when I'm aroused and during sex I get naturally wet but lately I've been getting too wet... Like unable to feel what's going on? And i read somewhere that this can be linked to birth control I assumed my use of cerazette could be an explantion. Has anyone else also had this whilst taking this pill?

Question about Cerazette Contraceptive Pill

Answer by doodles12

I was on Cerazette for about 2 weeks and noticed the same thing happening! I had never experienced half as much lubrication before I went on this pill. I also had other problems with this form of birth control as it gave my irregular periods and made me really tired, I'm now on the depo-provera injection instead which hasn't given me any side effects, I highly recommend it. Good luck x

Question about Cerazette Contraceptive Pill

Answer by Bernie1986

All the pills are the same, so just start on the day marked with the name of that day. However it doesn't matter if you take them in a different order to the layout in the pack, as long as you remember that you have taken them. Also, do not take a break, like with the combined pill. This is a progestogen pill and must be taken everyday with no breaks.

Question about Cerazette Contraceptive Pill

Answer by Absy_Baby

I have been on Cerezette for nearly 3 years now, and besides the inital period and the following month, I have only had 3 period in 36 months. Every person is different and you may get sproadic bleeding but it will be very light and you should settle down after a few months providing you take it daily. Good luck x

Question about Cerazette Contraceptive Pill

Answer by Bernie1986

Yes it is completely normal. Cerazette is a progestogen-only pill, therefore the side effects include spotting, breakthrough bleeding, irregular bleeding and (normally after 6 months to a year) no more bleeding. It is not dangerous or not working properly. Just try to take it as the same time each day, and every day with no breaks. It all settles down after a while. If it becomes inconvenient, see your doctor and perhaps try a COC like Marvelon.

I've just been sick after taking my pill?

I've been really sick only an hour after taking my pill today :-( What should I do? Should I take another one just now? Or wait until I'm meant to take it tomorrow and just use extra contraception for 7 days? I'd really like some advice :-) Thanks :) xxx

Question about Cerazette Contraceptive Pill

Answer by Veronica115012

Every time you are sick or have diarrhea, the hormones are removed from your organism before they start to work. You should take another pill immediately and then continue using it next day as usual. If this happens an hour after the time you usually take the pill, you are still safe and don't need to use extra contraception but only if you take another pill straight away. This should be written in the contraception leaflet that came with the pil
