why do they have helpline people and when they understand you?

speaking to the helpline people made me rather frustrated as none of them understood what i was saying at all ! i kept going and round in circles, trying to explain that problem i am having is not with my computer but with my internet connection, i have come to this solution because if i connect to another wireless internet on my aunts laptop she can download fine, same with my wii last night, i tried to do a system update and it didn't work.
