Learning
Well, StandardGrades are the first taste of real work. My favouite subject I discovered was History and really enjoyed learning about the Russian Revolution and World War 1. I did take all three sciences, just to see if it was the route for me but then found I didn't really enjoy Biology or Physics very much. I did really like Chemistry however. You get tested in each subject around every month, this doesn't just have to be a class test, sometimes a homework or even a project.

Advantages: Great read full of surprises Disadvantages: No epilogy
Background:
Over the years I have read many novels written by Margaret Yorke, when I noticed this one in my local bookshop. I thought I had read all her books to be honest and having read the brief description on the back page I wasn't sure if I had read it or not. So I purchased it and hoped it would be something new to me.
About the author:
Margaret Yorke has been a successful novelist for many many years and is often cited as equal in ability to Ruth Rendell and P.D.James. She was born in 1924, she has written 37 novels plus an additional five in the Patrick Grant series. The book I am reviewing was written in 1989.
