Have you ever tried to invent a card game? I don't mean mess with the rules on an exising one, that's just customising, I mean invent a completely new, original game. How about with balls or racquets? If you've ever tried, and I know I have, unless you have a lot more imagination than me (more than possible), it's much, much harder than you might think. But it's possibly only if you give it a go that you'll appreciate the scale of JK Rowling's achievement ...
