This cream does exactly what you expect it to, it clears up the skin quickly. It is a must for anyone who has been struggling with spots for some time. It is suitable for all ages most products are directed straight at teenagers because the big companies tend to presume it is just them that can suffer with spots. I myself am 36 and I am still suffering. This is my own experience of using the cream personally.
Size, Price and Ingredients
This product comes in 2 tube sizes 25g & 50g tubes and 2 strengths Quinoderm Cream Original (10% Benzoyl Peroxide) and Quinoderm 5 Cream (5% Benzoyl Peroxide). This cream contains Benzoyl Peroxide and can bleach some fabrics so be careful when using it. Largest 50g tube costs £3.99 from Boots at the pharmacy counter.
Usage and Drawbacks
It is recommended to be used 2 to 3 times a day applied all over the face and neck and not just individual spots then rubbed in until cream dissapears. It has a strong but not offensive smell. This seems a lot for the average or sensitive skin to deal and using more than once a day can be very drying. You get great results by using it once a day only at night after your usual cleansing routine. This also saves you ruining any of your good clothes if the cream rubs off onto them at the neck. I would also put a towel over your pillow or use white pillow cases to save your bedding too. The next morning use your usual cleansing routine and apply a good inexpensive moisturiser (Boots sell a good one for spot prone skins "Boots ACT Non-Oily Moisturiser" £2.99 for 100ml tube). Dont skip the moisturiser or suncream in the summer, it wont cause more spots as long as you buy non-oily products and is a very important step in protecting your skin.
Recommendations
I would also recommend for first time users to buy the Quinoderm 5 cream at the prescription counter as it is milder until your skin gets used to the drying effect of the Benzoyl Peroxide then only increase to the 10% strength when you buy the next tube if you have no severe drying effects. The cream does sting a little when applied but the redness is reduced the very next morning after the first use.
Summary
Hope this has helped anyone out there that suffers from bad skin and has tried everything else on the market. Within a week of using this I was nearly spot free for my sisters engagement party. I have suffered since a teenager with breakouts of spots caused by anything from stress to pre-menstrual and this is the only cream where i seen a marked improvement. I hate the thought of having to ask at the pharmacy counter for it but on the other hand you know its a good product if they arent allowed to sell it straight off the shelf.
*REMEMBER DONT TRY AND SPEED UP THE RESULTS BY APPLYING IT TOO MANY TIMES AS ALL YOU WILL DO IS REALLY DRY YOUR SKIN OUT AND YOU WILL STOP USING THE PRODUCT ALTOGETHER*

I’ve read a few reviews on this product today and I think I might try the lower percentage one as my skin is still spotty even aged 32 – so much for spots just being a teenage thing eh! x

Review of Quinoderm Quinoderm
Advantages: It really works and you will notice much clearer, and spot-free skin. Disadvantages: It dries out the skin and it will bleach anything that comes into contact with your face.
