Review of Bare Escentuals Wet/Dry Shadow Brush

Wet and dry machine

Advantages: Sucks up liquids
Disadvantages: Carpet shampooing is a nightmare

My vax is 6 years old now, it has never broken down but the end of the hose is plastic and years of using it wore it down so much that it would no longer stay in the tube. New hoses are readily available and I bought one off ebay which was a lot cheaper than buying directly from Vax. This is a wet and dry vacuum which also shampoos carpets. Well, shampooing anything bigger than a rug takes forever and is physically exhausting. My teenage son thought I was being a wimp but even he gave up after cleaning approx 4 square metres in an hour. It is brilliant for sucking up water if the washing machine leaks all over the place, it holds 8 litres of liquid. Not worth it for small spills because by the time you have removed the dust bag and inserted the inner tub you could have mopped it up. For dry vacuuming the head that is supplied ...

Get right up your nose

Advantages: Gets rid of even the curlies
Disadvantages: none

When one gets to 55 especially if you are of the male persuasion then there is a strong possibility you might require the services of a product such as that I am going to review. The reason I guess is pretty obvious being that the unit is question is a nasal trimmer, but it is so much more, well not so much but it can do the ears too. Operating from an AA battery the Wahl nose trimmer works either wet or dry, I have never had occasion to use it wet and I do not foresee such an occasion arising. In fact I can?t even think when one might use it wet, but hell the option is there for those more daring than I. In its dry mode it is quite silent in operation compared to some other similar type units I have tried.
