on the clock I think it still needs to loosen up some.
Interior all together is up to standard and everything is with-in reach. Heater and air-con is not the same as my prev ride but ok. I am 6'4 ft tall and found it difficult to get perfect comfortable seating position but am satisfied as is.
Boot space in the 5 door is limited and when the pram for my son loaded there is just enough space left for a six pack (at least) But I fitted a tow bar and when on holiday will hook trailer which I am sure I will not even feel behind me.
The car really sticks to the road like mad and make for a big improvement on the opel.
Well I must say for me who just started with a family this car is the best. (maybe not the boot).
1) Economical
2) Maintenance plan - Service every 15000 like petrol car
3) Lots of fun for dad to drive
and did I say lots ...
Advantages: Fuel economy. Insurance group, Engine power. Handling Disadvantages: Deprication value very rapid
Our car is just over a year old now and handles fantastic. The styling on the outside makes it look very sporty but with interior luxury. We had leather fitted as part of the manufacturers spec and that is a must. What a great idea on a cold morning to have heated seats!
The quickclear windscreen removes any ice so no more standing outside scraping.
Built in is a great deal of options from air con which can be controlled by temperature or manual and a six disc cd player. All buttons and controls feel in the right place and we recently drove down to devon non stop. I feel so comfortable and the leather even in hot weather is nice and smooth.
We have the 1.8 diesel 115ps model and the engine performance is superb. It has good acceleration when needed great fuel economy. I find the abs and traction control very good in bad weather. We ...
Advantages: Fantastically economical for its class Disadvantages: High torque from engine can be expensive on tyres
I've had a Focus 1.8 TDCi for a little over a year, following a two year stint from a Fiat so I may be a little over enthusiastic about the Focus! However, I've been driving for over 20 years (Oh God that long...) and have driven a silly number of cars over this time.
I think I've found a car I finally can settle with for at least the rest of the finance term!!! Which is unusual as I get bored very quickly!
The feel of the car overall is one of comfort but without the disconnected feel you can get in some larger cars and you really can have the confidence in the motor to pull hard when you need it.
Inside, the car feels roomy for its class and the seats seem to hug you quite nicely. I used to have to sit at a slight angle in many of my older cars to reach pedals and steer yet in the Focus I can sit in a relatively normal position ...
