The BlackBerry 7100v is a good phone for business users on-the-move who don't want to carry a laptop / PDA / mobile. The device doubles as your mobile and blackberry. The device has Bluetooth that its predecessors didn't. The phone has a QWERTY-style keypad that takes a few days to get used to, but is great for sending quick e-mails. All-in-all a good device I would reccomend.
Size: 110mm x 50mm x 18mm
Screen: 42mm x 45mm Has a backlight with brightness that can be adjusted Screen is a good-enough size for day-to-day use Screen is easily scratched and cannot be easily read in bright light
Advantages: Light-weight Good size Bluetooth Wireless mail and calendar reconcilliation Can turn off the e-mail push and use as a phone only Comes with USB charger lead Synchronizes with Outlook / Lotus Notes QWERTY style keypad that is easy to learn Can read text attachments Jog-wheel is handy for quick movement through menu and data
Disadvantages: Approx 2 days battery life max Keypad unlocks on an incoming call GPRS drops every now and again and requires removing the battery and SIM to resolve SMS and e-mail arrive in same inbox so can get missed No camera (it's a downside for some people!) Filing mail on your desktop will file the mail on your handhled - memory may become an issue after a while Can't read Spreadsheets Comes with bulky holster - not good for dropping in your shirt pocket Screen impossible to read in bright light Screen easily scratched.
