on Discovery's maiden voyage. The actors playing each of the men in this short film were excellent and the 3d effects were spectacular and it seemed as though the men were looking directly into my eyes as they spoke. Shipbuilding was an important part of Dundee's history and it was the city's experience in building boats for the Whaling industry which led to Discovery being built there. It is really interesting learning how the ship was built to withstand the Arctic conditions and when you see the simple tools used in building such as hand drills then the feat is even more amazing. Other exhibits focus on the scientific discoveries made in the Antarctic during the expedition and it is clear that the wealth of biological and geological knowledge gained was really important in helping us understand the world better. Review of Discovery, Dundee

Prblems with my new Landrover

Advantages: High Driving Position,
Disadvantages: Poor turning circle

I bought this landrover in Sep 2003. The deal was very good £6000 disocunt and it was the latest model. 3 days after we got it rained and the water leaked througfh the roof. Landrover fixed it and then we got it back a week later but all the rubber mouldings had gone white. Landrover replaced all the mouldings. Then somne fittings feel off the roof. Landrover took it back and fixed that. Finally we were able to take the car in mid october but at last all the faults had been fixed. Still its not very good for a £28000 car. We did not even get a sorry letter. We wont be buying another one needless to say. Thier customer service is really very poor. When I wrote to them they just ignored my letters. When I suggested to Landrover that they should take the car back as it was not acceptable with all the faults the manager just laughed ...

Review of Land Rover Discovery 2.5 Td5

Discovery TD5 GS 7seater

Advantages: Excellent work-horse
Disadvantages: Cost and heavey steering

I brought my Discovery 2 years ago 2nd hand for £16,000 and its been invaluable. I live in wales and work outside and do alot of mileage. I went from a petrol suzuki to this and this is cheaper to run. Its comfortable, high driving seat position and cross country capacity is fantastic. It also has the load carrying capacity of a minvan with the back seats down. Discoveries get a bad name because of purchasers who live in towns and don't use them to their full capacity. I have to say though it can carry 7 people very easily and drives well but it isn't designed to be primarily a people carrier. I also insure through Landrover Insurance and I have to say the customer care I get from landrover is brilliant as well as excellent value for money. If you really need a 4x4 and don't live in a town its a definate option but i would advise ...
