I rented this from Blockbuster for a whole week and couldn't stop playing on it. Great game!!
This is a good all round game.The story is based around you starting off as a rookie driver and racing for other teams. Once you have a sufficient amount of money to purchase your own car then you form your own team and compete in different racing events in three different areas, Japan, USA & Europe.
With each area you achieve different levels of licences. Licences are achieved by earning a set number of respect points from the races you take part in. Once a new licence is earned this opens up 9 new events for you to take part in.
Once you've earned your first licence this allows you to take on a team mate which can earn you a lot of money in some cases but also drag you down if you make a poor decision on you driver choice.
The cars range from Open Wheel (Formula 1 type) to Prestige (Expensive, nice, fast cars) and everything in between, for example, muscle cars, etc.
All races take place on a well known tracks such as Silverstone GB, Donnington etc.
This game can get a bit difficult and annoying as bumping in to an opponents car can sometimes send you spinning wildly even if the collision is at their fault but apart from this I can't really knock this game.
Graphics are great and sound is awesome, cars look very realistic and it also has a feature called 'Flashback' which is an instant replay where if you make a bad mistake within a race, rather than restarting the whole race you can actually rewind the race by about ten seconds and retake the corner that forced the error.
Overall, good game, definitely worth a go, especially if you enjoy your racing games like myself but would insist that you rent it first as it can get a little repetitive at times.
