As you all know I love my beauty products, especially shower gels or shower creams. Whenever I go shopping I'm always on the look out for a new beauty product which I haven't tried before. Out of all the different shower gels I have tried in the past the Radox shower gels are a firm favourite of mines because they are reasonably priced and they all smell nice. When I was doing the weekly shopping in Tesco this week I noticed a new Radox shower gel on the shelf which I hadn't tried before, Radox Pamper Your self. I had tried Radox Indulge Yourself previously and really liked it so I decided to try this one out. Usually I smell the shower gel before I buy it in-case I don't really like the fragrance but I was in a bit of a rush and didn't smell it.
The bottle of shower gel is supplied in a tall see through squeezable plastic bottle which is in the shape of a tear drop. On the top of the bottle there is a white plastic hook which is used to hang the bottle up in the shower, but if like me you don't have a shower the white hook can easily be slid down onto the top of the bottle. On the bottom of the bottle there is a white flip style lid which is found on most shower gels these days. When you open the flip style lid there is a large circular hole which dispenses the shower gel by giving the bottle a light squeeze. The shower gel only comes out of the bottle when you squeeze it; even if the lid is flipped opened and the bottle is hanging upside down no shower gel will come out. This is because there is a small rubber disc behind the circular hole which prevents the shower gel from leaking out from the bottle unless it is squeezed lightly.
The shower gel is navy blue in colour and has a pearlescent effect to it. I really like the clear see through packaging because the shower gel is clearly visible through the bottle; so you can see how much you are using and how much is remaining in the bottle. Most of the time when I buy shower gels or moisturisers I am really disappointed my the actual consistency of the product because some of the are too thin and runny. But all of the Radox shower gels seem to be really thick in consistency, almost like a thick gel. I really like the consistency of the shower gel because you don't have to use a lot of it to get washed with because a little goes a long way.
When I was using the shower gel I found that two blobs the size of a fifty pence piece were sufficient enough to get washed with. I was really surprised with the shower gel because it produced a very rich and creamy lather on my skin almost instantly. The creamy lather left my skin feeling really soft, fresh and clean, I felt as if the shower gel was also moisturising my skin at the same time. After I got out the bath and was getting dried my skin felt as if I had just moisturised it because it had a lovely smooth, silky feeling. So the name of the shower gel really did live up to its name, I did feel Pampered after using it.
The shower gel has a lovely fragrance which lingered on my skin for a few hours after I had bathed. The shower gel also fragranced the bathroom and the fragrance was still lingering in the bathroom an hour or so after I had bathed. I would say that the shower gel has a nice fresh and light scent which isn't too heavy or cloying. The fresh fragrance from the shower gel is Lavender and Chamomile, I could also detect a sweet musky undertone which could either be vanilla or Tonka beans, I'm not too sure which one I can smell because both of them are fairly similar. I don't think the shower gel has a really feminine scent, it is quite flexible because it isn't overly floral or too sweet.
I've been using this shower gel for just over a week now and my skin feels and looks great. I like using the shower gel with my exfoliating gloves because the exfoliating gloves don't feel as harsh on my skin and the shower gel also helps to moisturise my skin whilst I am exfoliating. I think that the shower gel is great and it's reasonably priced too especially when it's on special offer. I really like this shower gel and I cant pick any faults with it so far, it has moisturised and cleansed my skin and I haven't suffered from any dry itchy skin irritations since using it.
The shower gel can be bought from most supermarkets and chemists and the price may vary. A 250ml bottle of the shower gel has a RRP of £1.99 although some places may sell it cheaper and have it on special offer from time to time so it's a good idea to have a look around for a cheaper deal. I paid £1.49 for my 250ml bottle of Pamper Yourself Shower Gel from Tesco.
There are also lots of other fragranced shower gels/creams in the Radox range which all smell lovely. Some of the other shower gels in the Radox Range which I have tried and liked are ~
Radox Indulge Yourself Shower Cream Radox Daily Elements Revitalising Shower Scrub Radox Soften Shower Cream Radox Care For Me Shower Gel Radox Awaken Shower Gel
A 250ml bottle of Radox shower gel usually costs between £0.99~£1.99 depending on where you purchase it from. Quite a lot of the time Tesco usually sell the shower gel for £0.99 per bottle although the Tesco near me has just stopped that special offer.
Advantages: Lovely scent with loads of lather Disadvantages: Limited edition
...one I tried from the Radox limited edition range I thought I would give another one a go. As I have stated before I keep getting in trouble with the other half for leaving half empty bottles of body washes all over the bathroom as I get bored with them pretty quick. I am now trying to make a conscious effort to finish the bottle so he has now got plenty of room for all his half empty bottles of god only knows what! So did I like this one as much ... ...herbs and minerals. The name Radox comes from the words "radiated oxygen" as Radox said that their products radiate the scent of their product through the oxygen that comes out of a hot bath or shower. (God I feel like I am on brainiacs!) Sara Lee, the queen of the cakes, owns this company!! One last bit of useless information, Radox was the first company to make liquid soap!
