Advantages The packaging works.

Disadvantages Horrible smell

Radox is a Unilever owned brand and the Revive hand wash is one of many different varieties of hand wash products that Radox produce. This product contains 300ml of hand wash gel.

It comes in a standard container with a dispensing pump at the top of it.
You twist this to unlock it and it works by pushing down on the top of it. The packaging is fairly basic with the container itself being rectangular with an almost domed top and curved edges. The gel itself is very dark blue in colour and thick and barely transparent.

On the front is minimal information including over-sized brand logo, product title and vague promise of the product being 'naturally caring for hands'. What that actually means is not divulged so I imagine it's some marketing waffle. Looking at the ingredients, there seems to be few 'natural' ingredients contained within and the statement on the back describing 'what's going into this?' seems equally loose with details - it's biggest claim being is has a 'perfect ph balance' and a thumbs up from skin experts. Well, I'm sold!

When you use the product, you'll equally treat the claims as dubious given it's potency. It has one of those dreadful odours, one that manufacturers think will appeal to men and somehow make hand wash feel manly. On the contrary, it is vile, pungent and repellent. The stench is incredibly strong and lingers for an hour after washing so you can't escape it. It smells like cheap deodorant and reeks of chemicals. We used it about 3 times and were then unable to stand it any longer and had to replace it.

As far as cleaning goes, if you can stand the smell, then the product cleans and cleanses quite well... but I couldn't get past it and felt as though I wanted to wash my hands again after using it (with something different of course!).

Other than the contents itself which is a bit of a departure from the produce usually manufactured by this brand, which is on the whole good, the container is ok to look at and the dispenser works well and efficiently. The pump lasts until you've finished without breaking and there is no leakage or mess from it.

Radox hand wash on the whole are good for a low budget hand wash if you're not looking for anything too ethical or natural but this one was a big mistake. I bought it in Poundland for £1.00 and wish I'd spent a little more on a better product.

Should be avoided unless you are very, very unsure about your masculinity and really feel you need to assert it by using products like these.
