There was also a little plastic packet which contained the smaller screws to attach the harddrive to the case which also contained some black sticky cushions to go on the external screws, so they don't mark your computer if you rest it on the top, or alternatively you can you the plastic stand that comes in the box.
After having the ICY BOX running for some time it does get quite warm, but there is a mesh side to the case to allow circulation of air.
