Advantages Good tactical game

Disadvantages Only 7 levels in single player, Multiplayer buggy

General Info
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is a first person shoot 'em up with a mix of tactics and action included. It was released 18th March for the PS3 and XBOX, and is due for release on the PC April 15th. If you like your Ghost Recons, SWAT Series, and Call Of Duty 4 type of games then you will like this one.

Brief Story
Some of this game is not based in Vegas this time, as the story is based on Before and After events of the first Vegas game. The game actually starts in France, then swiftly moves on 5 years back to Vegas. You basically control someone called Bishop who later on recruits Logan who was the character you controlled in the first game.

The Plot
You begin the game in an Obseravatory in France, where you have to rescue some EU hostages. You work with some new recruits Logan Keller and Gabriel Nowak, Logan being the same character you control in the first game. You have a negotiator who plans to talk to the terrorists while you and another team get into to place. But while you are waiting in place for the other team to get to their position Nowak fires prematurely, which then causes the terrorist to kill Monroe, and then all hell breaks lose.

After you rescue the terrorists HQ radio in and inform you there are some more terrorists in the area, who are trying to escape, which you must nuetralize, oh and there's a bomb as well! As Nowak defuses the bomb, more terrorists appear and open fire on Nowak who then panics and screams down the radio "I knew this would happen! Don't leave me here! I knew this would happen, damn it!" But you quickly reassure him you wont leave him there. The other rainbow team arrives and you both deal with the terrorists, picking nowak up, then the level ends.

The game then moves 5 years on, and you are back in Vegas, where by you have several missions to stop terrorists who plan to smuggle chemical weapons (you know the normal terrorist plot) ou are with 2 different team mates this time as Logan is operating another mission in Mexico. I wont go into detail of every level but hopefully you have got the general vibe of how the story goes.

Game Modes
You have several games modes with this game they are
Single player Story
Two Player Story
CO-OP Mode
MultiPlayer
Terrorist Hunt (single and 2 player)

Customization
You can now customise your character in the first game, but this time you can do it in single player mode instead of just multiplayer. You can run around in a tank top if you like with a cap and glasses, or the more traditional full suit of tactical gear. You gain experience during the game, in both single player and multiplayer modes now, so your character progresses how ever you play.

Multiplayer
There is currently some issues with multiplayer modes, where by when playing you will get disconnected from the game randomly, this is a known bug and is being worked to be fixed but as of yet still a problem. So if you are planning on buying this for multiplayer action i would hold off for a bit as its really annoying playing when you know at any point you will get disconnected!

Conclusion
If you like the first game of this then you will probably like this one. There are only 7 levels to play in single player mode which is a bit short in my eyes, i know someone who completed the story mode in 6 hours! Its a fun game if your into tactics and shoot em ups, but multiplayer bugs let the game down at present. I would recommend waiting to buy this game for a bit until it "works at intended".
