As anyone who had read my other reviews will know, I am a huge perfume fan. It is very hard for me to name an exact favourite as I have so many but Ralph Lauren - Glamorous is definitely on my top ten list.
Packaging Ralph Lauren Glamorous comes in a gold square box which is quite appealing to the eye. The bottle itself is round, with a flat top lid (the lid is round so its fits on the nozzle but it has a flat top to it) There is a small diamonte enclosed within the lid which is quite fittingly glamorous for a perfume bottle. The bottle itself is clear which is handy as you are able to see how much scent you have left. The lid is gold and matches the colour of the box.
The Price I find that Ralph Lauren perfumes tend to me more expensive than some other on the market. A 100ml bottle will cost you £56 and a 50ml would cost you £46. I am forever looking on eBay for cheap perfumes and I have to admit that you can't really seem to get this perfume much cheaper than the above prices.
The Smell According to Ralph Lauren this perfume contains rich florals, tuberose, Clementine, calla lily and vetiver although I am not sure what any of them are, I can tell you, that this perfume smells divine. Its most definitely a feminine fragrance but without being too sickly sweet or flowery. It is very distinctive and once you have smelt it, you would certainly recognise it again. I would describe the scent as almost romantic, sweet without being too sweet and not as flowery as you would imagine it to be from the ingredients list. It is also quite a refreshing smell.
Does The Scent Last This is another reason why I like Ralph Lauren fragrances, they certainly have staying power. I can wear this all day and can definitely smell it at the end of the day. The scent is relatively strong when you first put it on (all though not unpleasantly so) and the scent fades slightly throughout the last leaving you with a nice sweet feminine smell at the end of the day.
Summary I would definitely recommend this perfume to all girlie girls as its certainly quite feminine. Saying that, I do not consider myself to be a girlie girl and I love the fragrance too. Although this perfume has lots of flowers in the ingredients, I would definitely not say that it's a flowery smelling fragrance. It it sweet and a little bit spicy. The only downside to the perfume is the price.
Advantages: Nice gold box, pleasant enough smell, not too overpowering Disadvantages: overly-priced for what it is, can only get huge sizes
...fragrance that was created by Ralph Lauren in 2001. According to all the blurb on the Ralph Lauren site (and others advertising the perfume) “it contains a rich blend of pearl flowers, plumeria, lily, ginger flowers, tuberose, Siam wood, Cashmere musk and clementine.”
… reminds me of a wine tasting party all these weird and wonderful expressions that perfume manufacturers come up with!
**** SO WHAT MADE ME GET IT?
To be totally and utterly frank ... ...the fancy gold packaging (and the cute little diamante on the lid, which now looks a tad tacky – see ‘packaging’) and all the slick advertising that went with the product’s launch. I had a fair amount of Boot’s advantage points saved up and wanted to treat myself. So I did. Don’t get me wrong the scent is perfectly pleasant and I did try it on in the store first (not that dumb!) but it cost me over £45 for 50ml (albeit it in points, but these points ...

Advantages: Its A Great Scent. Lasts. Disadvantages: Its Very Mature. Not good for younger.
This perfume is absolutely adorable!!! I really love wearing it - it makes me feel really ... glamorous! It's a very adult scent, until I got used to it I did feel sometimes like the scent was a little too mature for me, its very strong and heavy, not a fresh, young smell. It's definately an evening perfume, perfect for a posh party, but I wear it in the day anyway. Its a perfume to get you noticed by women, men, dogs and children! It's strong too ... ...have the 30ml bottle and it lasts. Good Price.
It's a very lingering smell - I can smell in on a scarf which i wear a lot and it's very comforting!!
Described As So:
Glamourous has notes of clementine, calla lily, tuberose and vetiver. It is an extravagant floral, Luminous as pearls, Smooth as suede, Rich as cashmere and as glamorous as the woman who wears it.
I certainly agree with the smooth and rich qualities, it has a very flowery smell, ...

Advantages: Smells gorgeous, makes you feel really feminine, lasts all day. Disadvantages: Quite pricey
I wanted a perfume that I could wear, not only for work and for day to day but something a but more special for evenings out.
Although this has been described as a daytime perfume it's ideal for any occasion.
The 50ml EDP I bought was a little pricey for a daytime perfume at £30.00 but you only need a couple of small squirts and it will last you all day so lasts a lot longer than other cheaper perfumes on the market.
It has a really smooth, rich, ... ...Clementine, Calla Lily, Kona Plumeria, Casablanca Lily, Ginger Blossom, Tuberose, Siam Wood, Cashmere Musk and Vetiver.
It comes in a gold box and whilst the bottle itself is quite plain it still look elegant. It's round shaped with a flat top. The top of the bottle is gold and has a little diamond in the top of it that makes it look really feminine.
I would highly recommend this perfume to anybody looking to have a change of fragrance. ...

Advantages: A soft subtle smell Disadvantages: Price
...first time I smelt this Ralph Lauren perfume, I knew it was for me!!! Its about 2 years old, so still quite a new scent out.
It comes in a very simple designed bottle, short, round clear glass. The lid is a gold knob with a little diamante in it. (Which doesn't discolour!!).
The packaging is simple but efective, in gold coloured square box.
Glamourous has notes of clementine, calla lily, tuberose and vetiver. it is an extravagant floral, very ... ...it lasts all day. I wear many perfumes, and I have to say this is my favorite. In fact one colleague after smelling it on me, went straight out and brought a bottle for his wife. The price of this varies . At the moment the prices are as follows
RRP is £41 for a 50ml bottle of eau de parfum.
Boots gift set containing 50ml edp and 200ml body lotion is £48.
For better value the perfume shop does the 100ml edp for £58
Its still quite a unknown scent, ...
