It is rectangular with the long side at the bottom, with a circular neck to the bottle and a small silver top. Around the neck of the bottle is a silver label reading ‘Ralph Lauren Romance’ The bottle is made ... ...the perfume inside.
In the interest of Ciao, I endeavoured to find out a little more about the fragrance so when I went onto the shop floor early one morning, I went straight to the fragrance counter and asked a colleague of mine about it.

Working in Boots means I am lucky enough to try every different perfume a girl could want. In our changing rooms at work we have an entire shelf devoted to perfume which we can spray away to our hearts content to keep us smelling sweet all day.
I’m one of those women who are unfortunate enough never to have found a ‘signature scent’. I envy those who find a scent so suited to them that they stick with it for life. I have admitted to myself that this is unlikely to happen to me so I regularly pamper myself by trying every different scent that I can lay my hands on (usually at work!).

It is rectangular with the long side at the bottom, with a circular neck to the bottle and a small silver top. Around the neck of the bottle is a silver label reading ‘Ralph Lauren Romance’ The bottle is made purely of glass so you can see the level of the perfume inside.
In the interest of Ciao, I endeavoured to find out a little more about the fragrance so when I went onto the shop floor early one morning, I went straight to the fragrance counter and asked a colleague of mine about it.
I also noticed the box but only briefly so I’ll try to remember as much about it as possible. The box is predominantly pink with a shiny silver trim. It is hard to describe because however I put it, it sounds tacky! But trust me it’s not. I actually thought the box was very chic. It is fairly simplistic with the name of the fragrance ‘Ralph Lauren Romance’ written across the front. At the bottom of the box it said ‘Eau de Parfum Natural Spray Vaporisateur’ (I think- hopefully I’ve remembered that correctly!’
The other details on the box are volume, I was looking at a 50ml bottle, and the ingredients were on the back. I think those were all the major details it had on the bottle.
Anyway onto what is actually important; the scent. When you first spray it the scent is quite floral but it doesn’t smell of flowers in the horrible way that some heavier scents do and it smells light and fresh.
I think a delicate fragrance such as this one could be worn for everyday wear but also for going out in the evenings, in fact you could probably go straight form work to go out wearing this because it lasted all day when I wore it or you may want to reapply once before you go out.
I really don’t think it is necessary to spray more often that this because otherwise it would become too overpowering if you reapply too much.
So what are the wonderful scents responsible for making this the gorgeous feminine fragrance that it is? My colleague came in useful here as she was able to tell me everything I could ever have wanted to know about it. I’ll try and remember as much as I can.
The perfume consists of base scents and top scents. The base scents remain all day while the top scents are not so long lasting and wear off more quickly. I found this quite interesting because I had never known that before.
The top scents include White Violet, Lotus flower, Ylang Ylang and a few other flowers, I can’t remember what they were exactly but there was some type of rose.
The base scents are more ‘woody’ and are Patchouli Coeur (not sure if I’ve spelt that correctly so forgive me if I’m wrong), Oakmoss, and Exotic woods.
The fragrance cost £39 for 50ml but is also available in a larger 100ml bottle as well. This seems very expensive but it does last well especially compared to some cheaper brands that I have tried.
It is wonderful scent and I was complemented on it on the way home form work. I felt flattered when somebody asked me what it was. However if you are thinking of buying this make sure you spray it in the shop and leave it on for a few hours while it settles on your skin as the scent often adjust slightly as it wears into your skin so it is best to try before you buy in this case. Almost everywhere that sells the perfume will be willing to let you do this.
If you have sensitive skin I can only advise that you don’t wear this scent as it is likely to irritate your skin but the consultant in the shop will be able to give you more information should you require it.
This young, fresh and sexy perfume can be found in major department store and also in Boots, you will find it in Duty Frees too.
Apply it to pressure points eg. neck and wrists or spray a ‘cloud’ in the room and walk through it to get even coverage.
This would make a fantastic Christmas pressie for men to buy the woman in their life, or an indulgent treat for us girlies to buy ourselves.

OK girls, say you had just been given this perfume as a gift. The first thing you'll notice is the beautiful box! Romance is a baby pink box edged in shiny silver with elegant capital lettering. ...I'd had my eye on Ralph Lauren Romance for some time and decided to treat myself on the way home from holiday in June.
The box stands out as it is a pink (loving all things pink, this is probably why it stood out to me!) simple rectangular shaped box with a silver lid and bottom. It quite simply states on the front that it is 'Ralph Lauren Romance.'
The bottle is as simple and effective (in my opinion) as its box. It, again, is a rectangular clear ... ...taken off and replaced again. The perfume itself is a clear liquid and looks just like water.
Now as I said I bought this Duty Free priced at £40 approx for 50ml. I swithered about buying the bigger 100ml bottle which was £50 but decided that would be too extravagant! I would say that this is the only disadvantage of the perfume: it is rather pricey!
On saying that, however, it was worth every penny. It is such a nice, refreshing perfume with floral ...

It was a gift, of course it would be, how can I justify spending 40 pounds on perfume when the ole overdraft barely allows 20? Anyway, I am sure glad I have relatives who don’t have overdrafts because this gift was worth every penny.
Men, take note. Women like to smell nice so that her fantasy since she was a teenager of walking into a room and have men stop talking to watch her glide past and say ‘what is that frangrance-I have to talk ... ...feel threatened because chances are he is not going to be tall, dark and handsome wearing a tuxedo; unless she is the latest Bond girl. Regardless, she wants to get close to that feeling, and Romance will do that for you.
It is a lovely flowery scent that is light enough to prevent sneezing fits, but present enough to make a girl smell utterly feminine even if she is in jeans and a t-shirt.
Like I mentioned before, it is quite pricey. 39 pounds ...

...crisp, clean floral smell (very Ralph Lauren) with something more musky and sensual. This is definitely a perfume for a woman in love as there is something dreamy about it that is also sophisticated (doesn't have that cutesy kitsch floral smell of some perfumes). I love the simple glass bottle with its square silver lid - beautiful design. This is romance for the modern woman - there's nothing airy-fairy or fanciful here, just simple beauty. It is ... ...looking for a more androgynous modern scent. This is the kind of perfume that makes you want to wear a white tulle-organza dress and go running across the moors to meet your lover.
It's no more or less expensive than any other designer perfume and I would say it's well worth it. My bottle was actually a present, and if there are any men out there looking for a present for their wife or girlfriend then this is it. It would show real taste and thoughtfulness ...
