Disadvantages Tradesmen are overpriced.
I posted a job to repoint two 2x4x7 ft chimneys - my price guide was £100-250 based on 1 days work. Scafold and access already in place.
Got a call from a tradesman. I always ask for a ballpark figure to avoid wasted trips. His ballpark figure was £400. Ouch. He was rather cross at paying £12 for my number.Just had a phone call from rated people to ask why I would not let the tradesmen access the property for a quote. I explained, and decided to close my account - only to be told it was already closed !!!
I have tried to use rated people several times in the past and I always find that the tradesmen that contact me are overpriced.I agree with the previous reviewer. Use Yellow Pages or www.trustmark.org.uk.
