Advantages No advantages at all
Disadvantages Scam, unapproved unvetted tradesmen, unqualified
Have used rated people to get a roofer. Ended up causing more damage to my roof.
I should have guessed when he took a hour to do work he quoted several hundred pounds for. It was beyond his abilities.
They are not a kite mark for quality as they claim. They are just a money making operation. The trades they use are not vetted, they offer no guarantees or appropriate comebacks for poor service. There is no information on insurance. My advise is use a proper kite-mark scheme such as the governments trademark.
