Revel....what can I say? The first time I went into the store back home in Liverpool I was in heaven....finally I'd found a shoe shop where I would quite happily buy EVERY pair of shoes in stock (I love shoes but spend hours walking around shops in dispair at some of the nasty nasty shoes!). Liverpool (lucky lucky b*****ds have TWO ravel's).
A few years back I left the 'pool behind me and moved down south to Bournemouth..."Trendy place," I thought assuming that they would have a huge Ravel's, but no it wasn't to be. Bournemouth has no Ravel, Poole has no Ravel, Southampton has no Ravel......NOWHERE down south has a Ravel, the nearest store I know of is Kensington High St in London!
Please, if anyone who has anything to do with Ravel reads this...PLEASE...Open a shop down here. (The new West Quay centre in Southampton has plenty of empty space and has opened up lots of room on the high st?)
Advantages: Like a great boutique shop that you feel "special" in Disadvantages: perhaps buying items for special treats once a month?
I only found a Ravel shop because I was on a training course and liked a colleagues handbag. I walked in and thought "Wow" If only I worked here I would be in heaven 24/7. I ended up walking out with 2 handbags and nearly a pair of shoes but remembered I do need to pay the mortgage! The staff were very friendly and didnt look down on you just because your wearing jeans and trainers. I brought 1 evening bag and 1 day bag, both unique and quality oozing ...

Advantages: NONE Disadvantages: LOVELY STYLE -LAURA SHOE - WENT SHABBY AND SHAPELESS AFTER WEARING 6 TIMES
...BOUGHT THE 'LAURA' SHOE FROM RAVEL IN IN MARCH 2006.
THESE SHOES LOOKED LOVELY WHEN PURCHASED.
(FLAT, BLACK LEATHER )
I WALKED TWICE INTO TOWN (20- 25 MINUTE WALK) AND WORE THEM OUT DOORS ABOUT ANOTHER 4 TIMES.
THEY THEN WENT LIKE ROWING BOAT SHAPED ON MY FEET. THE INSIDE INSTEP PART OF SHOE LOST ALL SHAPE AND WENT LIKE SHAPE OF A ROWING BOAT -
THE ALIGNMENT OF BOTH SHOES COMPLETELY SKEWERED INWARDS - I DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER SHOES THAT HAVE ... ...THE PRIVILEGE OF THIS.
RAVEL WERE HAPPY ENOUGH TO ACCEPT MY £40 FOR THIS 'LAURA ' SHOE BUT WILL NOT ACCEPT BEING CHALLENGED THAT IT IS A POORLY DESIGNED, POORLY MANUFACTURED SHOE.
I BELIEVE THAT RAVEL CUSTOMER SERVICES , RAVEL COMPANY ARE OPERATING ON THE PRINCIPLE OF ' WHAT YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT '
THE SHOES ARE SHABBILY MADE - AND I FIND IT INCREDIBLE THAT THEY COULD PASS QUALITY ASSURANCE.
RAVEL HAVE INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAVE BEEN TESTED AND ...

Advantages: A great fully enclosed shopping centre Disadvantages: no M and S (yet)
...here too including: Dorothy Perkins; Evans; La Senza; Monsoon; New Look; Next; Oasis; Principles; Republic; River Island; Top Shop and Zara. The main sports shops of JD, JJB and Sports World are also in the centre.
No large shopping centre would be complete without Argos and the high street newsagent WH Smith. I did notice one significant store missing from the White Rose and this was Marks and Spencer, but I believe they will be coming soon. As a motorway traveller I didn't find this a big problem, even though I am partial to their produce. M and S is now in a lot of motorway service areas so we called in at Birch Services (Manchester) for some quality food on our way home.
Meanwhile, concentrating on the White Rose Centre, there are a decent number of shoe outlets including: Clarks; Dolcis; Faith; Ravel; Schuh; Stylo...

Advantages: Loads of bargains for guys and girls...loads Disadvantages: Not for those who can't handle their shopping
...Klein, Versace, Nike, Gap, Polo Ralph Lauren and many more. And then there are those brands that make you feel right at home such as Marks & Spencer…
My favourite shop in the village is Billabong as I love the tiny bikinis in all colours of the rainbow and the casual sort of surfer, sort of hey-dude-attitude-clothes. I found stuff there for a fiver that cost me in their London Kings Road shop £45! Can you believe that?
My boyfriend loved all the sports shops and the footwear that was available at next to nothing prices. Some of those are Clarks, Nike, Caterpillar, Ravel, Soled Out, and his absolute favourite Timberland. He has those in all colours, now how sad is that!?
Eventually you get tired, yes even I do after 4 hours of non-stop shopping. You can have a rest in the food hall, which serves foods for different tastes. Jacket...

We had just moved into our new house in October 2002, boxes were every were and the place was a total mess, while trying to sort things out a rap came to the door, I answered it to find a man there offering me £100 worth of high street vouchers and in... more
