Advantages: Cool and refreshing Disadvantages: A bit artificial
Kronenbourg is a decent enough beer (for its type), but until recently, I'd never really been tempted to try their wheat beer version - Kronenbourg Blanc. All that changed during last week's heatwave when confronted with a selection of what would usually be a mouth-watering choice of ales in the pub. It was just too bloomin' hot! My eye was drawn continually to the shiny chrome, ice-cold, condensation-saturated font of the aforementioned beer.
So I ordered a tall one.
Kronenbourg started back in 1664 when Jerome Hatt produced his first barrel of beer in Strasbourg. In the 1800's the brewery moved to the district of Cronenbourg - the K was added to make it sound more Germanic and hence to appeal to beer lovers, in 1947.
The company attribute their growth to the period after WW2 when they began selling their premium Bièrre d ...
Advantages: Some absolutely hilarious and clever episodes Disadvantages: If you can't get into it, but I don't relate to you
When I first heard people talking about Everybody Loves Raymond, I honestly thought nothing of it. I presumed it was just another one of those nothing American comedies, and decided I'd just stick to 'Friends' and the like. It was the sort of show people would watch before going to school in the mornings, not the sort of show you'd stay in at night for and with that in mind I never really wanted to make any effort to watch it. Not until having nothing to do in the daytime and sitting down to a Paramount Comedy double bill have I seen what an absolutely brilliant show it is.
The very first episode aired on the 13th September 1996, when I was just 7 years old. From there it went on to be a weekly hit, with 22 episodes making up its debut season. Those episodes are; Pilot, I Love You, I Wish I Were Gus, Standard Deviation, Look Don ...
Advantages: Good price, not too dry for me Disadvantages: I drink too much :o|
Yes, yet another boozy Bubble opinion ? all this ?research? purely to help out the consumer! ;o)
Hmmmm, now I would have always said that my preference for wine would be a medium to sweet white on the whole but I wonder if my taste or palate has been changing a little over recent months as those wines which would normally be too dry for me are tasting a lot better now! Usually a find a drier wine rather sharp and acidic but lately I have tried (and reviewed) a number of drier wines and they all seem to be a lot more pleasant than I expected. This is the case here too.
Todays? subject is Blossom Hill Sauvignon Blanc. In particular, Sauvignon Blanc was always a wine I steered clear of as my first experience of it put me off completely ? I found it far too dry, sharp, with a bitter acidic aftertaste ? but, as I said in ...

Manufacturer's product description
Raymond Blanc has achieved worldwide fame as an inspired chef with a relentless drive for perfection. His cooking has been described as 'an extraordinary process of creativity passion subtlety indeed genius'. He is entirely self-taught and has never revealed the secrets of his cuisine. But here he explains his uniquely successful methods and shares some of the very special recipes from his Oxfordshire restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons. M. Blanc's reputation is such that even before it opened in 1984 Le Manoir was awarded two Michelin stars. In keeping with Raymond Blanc's insistence on fresh produce the emphasis in this book is on seasonal variety with thirty to forty recipes for each season. With glorious photographs by Michael Boys a preface by Egon Ronay and foreword by Hugh Johnson Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons conveys a little of the genius of the chef widely regarded as the best in Britain.
