Advantages: Fun and educational Disadvantages: Just a couple of little niggles but nothing major
CRANIUM CARIBOO
I bought this game for my granddaughters third birthday.
It?s a fun and educational game for preschoolers that helps with letter, number, colour, and shape recognition.
It?s an ideal first game, to get children used to the idea of a structured game, and it?s also a much more tolerable game for adults to play than many of the standard preschool games on the market.
The basics
Cranium Cariboo is a game aimed at 3- to 6-year-olds. It can be played with 2-4 players and combines a treasure hunt with colourful bouncy balls, an easy-to-use key, and lots of cards and doors.
The board itself consists of two parts: a large section where there are doorways where the six included balls are hidden and a narrow section where the balls are stored once they?re found. When all 6 balls have been ...
Advantages: Great family fun. Disadvantages: Maybe a little overpriced at £30.
Cranium is a great game for adults and children. It is a team game - so you need at least four players to play. The rules are very simple, easy to pick up and the questions range from puzzling to quite challenging.

Advantages: sort of fun. for about three seconds Disadvantages: not fun for most of the time
Imagine this: a humble board game where one moment you are constructing a clay model of the Taj Mahal, the next trying to spell a very long word backwards, the next doing an impression of Denis Norden, the next drawing a picture of a peanut. How crazy does that sound? So crazy it makes your head spin, right? So crazy it makes you want to run naked and screaming into the street? I wouldn't be surprised. When I first sat down to play Cranium I was a little scared that I would be driven permanently insane by the excitement. Not really scared, but a little. So it came as a great surprise when I discovered that, for all its innovations, Cranium is a little, well, tiresome.
I shan't bore you with the ins and outs of the rules, but the basic gist is this: you move counters round a track, and perform tasks depending upon which square you land ...
