The Rough Guide To Mod

Advantages: Easy to navigate. Well illustrated. Slim-fitting
Disadvantages: Very hard to find.

This is now as rare as wedding tackle on an Action Man! If you haven't got it now, you will have to dig deep into your credit crunch affected pockets to secure yourself a copy! Luckily, I got mine way back, when it was hot off the presses. It now sits proudly on my bookshelf, glowing like a beacon of style and good taste. Empire Made is almost like a Rough Guide to Mod. Presented in a great A to Z format, it illustrates the clothes, the haircuts, the scooters, the films, the lifestyle and the general all-round goodness of Mod life. On top of all that, there are over 100 photos to whet your finely-tailored, Italian style whistle. Terry Rawlings himself knows a thing or two about Mod, albeit from a 2nd generation perspective. Miniature Mouthfulls

Advantages: Good variety of chocolates
Disadvantages: Suppose they're fattening but that never bothers me

contains a minimum of 14% Milk Solids whilst the Dairy Milk contains 20% minimum. This tub of Miniature Heroes was a gift well received by me and they’re great if you just fancy a bit of a chocolate nibble every now and again, instead of munching on a whole bar. Cadburys Miniature Heroes I think come in a variety of sizes but you can expect to pay around £3.99 for a 480g tub full. You can visit the Miniature Heroes website at www.miniheroes.co.uk and for anyone who hasn’t yet visited Cadburys World there’s a contact number on the box, so for more details you can phone 0121 451 4159. ...

Philips Razor

Advantages: Cheaper than othe electric razors, quality shave
Disadvantages: No protective carry case

I bought this razor in Boots. It was the cheapest from a variety of Remingtons and Philips razors. I was not sure which one to buy so I just opted for the cheapest. It cost £39 but there was £5 off offer on at the time. The last electric razor I had I got for my 21st Birthday. It lasted 14 years. I must admit I was never very impressed with it and it did not ever give a full days shave ( but it was hand to have). The Philips 6600 has totally changed my mind about electric razors. When I opened the box it was not much to look at. It is grey and black in colour and very light, almost like an plastic toy. There were very few accessories. Just a light cover/carry bag, a cable for recharging and a small brush for cleaning. There is also a small clippers on the back. At first I thought I had been sold a dud. The shaver gave a stuttering ...
