Read a book and don't really have the storage and want it to go to a good home. Then read it swapt it is the site for you. www.readitswapit.co.uk Its free to join. The idea of the site is to swap books, you request or recieve a request for a book and you choose a book from that users list. You can reject the person if there isn't anything you want so don't feel pressured into swapping. All you need to do is enter any book you have. The site recognises ... ...in that and the site will find the book and you simply add the condition and any other comments and click on add. Simple as that. Once you have entered your books start requesting books. ReadItSwapIt is, as the name suggests, an Internet book swapping site. The principle is simple: you list the books you have for sale, which become visible to other members; you can search books listed by other members. Once you find a book you would like, you can request a swap and if the member in question sees anything they want in your list, they indicate which book they want to swap and all that's left to do is packing and posting. Alternatively, ... ...and after perusing their collection, you can either indicate the title you want in return, or decline the swap (there is a number of ready-made reasons provided, from the obvious "I don't want to read any of their books" to "I am not ready to post now, but try soon").
There is a feedback system (and some safeguards against abuse, as limits on the number of swaps that can be requested at the same time depending on the feedback rating).

Advantages: Only pay the price of postage to recieve a book you haven't yet read! Disadvantages: Operates on trust so it could always be open to untrustworthy people, I've had no problems.
...year ago I came across ReadItSwapIt.co.uk when a friend online mentioned using it. The front page boldy asks me: "Bought a book and finished it? Don't know what to do with it? If you've read it swap it!" This totally summarises what this great website is all about. ReadItSwapIt.co.uk does exactly what the name of the site states. You read a book, put it on the site, then swap it for another book you haven't read. All it costs you is postage which ... ...buying a new book, and it makes sure your book is not left gathering dust on your bookshelf! It's very easy to create an account on ReadItSwapIt, and in no time at all you'll be adding your books. Adding books is very easily done, you simply type in the book's ISBN number (generally found above the barcode on the back of the book) then click on 'Get Book Details.' I have recently joined this group and it find it a great help. Both my husband and myself are avid readers, and find it most useful to just place your unwanted books on the web.
