well i got my ticket 2 days before the festival from a tout so i had non of the build up because i didnt think i was going. Many of my friends however had tickets so i payed 200£ and went .It was the best weekends ever !!! now the bbc shows it as some fit blonde and her mates sitting on the grass with some indie music in the background with nice sunny skys looking clean. In reality its basicly a 5 day riot of unwashed drunk drugged up teens with some amazing bands its a weekend you will never forget !
When we got there it was a bit scary a loud noise of cheers geting closer tuned out to just be 100000 people screeming "bollocks" in a way like the mexican wave .Space was hard to find but we set up camp in brown camp made a few new friends .musicly the lineup was not to my liking with only around 5 good bands there over the weeknd in my opinion but the atmosphere was amazing lost profits best band live band of the weekend.
camping and the people .. well theres not many places that you can look along the horizen and see nothing but explosions as the drunks chuck camping gas on bombfires its a scene similar to ww2 .The night is filled with "ruuuun" a few moments silence and explosion followed by cheers other things i witnessed
a camp of pirats
a camp of fast food costumes
lots of drugs
naked jousting in trollys
a war with security over a hill
a 5000 a side pillow fight
1000 people chanting free icecream as they rocked the van almost tiping it over
lots of explosions
people jumping off bridges into the themes
a few 100 people raving on the toilet roof
lots of people burning there tents in huge fires
a few 100 people raving to andrew wk lets get a party started and journey dont stop beleiving on repeat for an entire night
you will wake up on the monday morning with 5 days of drinking forming 1 mega hangover u drag yourself up pack up say good bye to you new friends and get the train home and the crossing of brown green and red camp looked similar to the aftermath of a tsunami as the entire floor is covered in carling beer super noodles smoldering ashes from the night before passed out drunks and other rubish and junk there was even 2 ice cream vans on there side a fire tower knocked down and an enire area covered in fluff from the mass pillow fight it truely was the best weekend ever its safer then i make out though with very few people geting hurt :D its worth spending 300+ on tickets its realy that good!
