This is a brilliant game, I have only played it on the dreamcast console and it is one of the best games I have, Aswell as sega bass fishing, this is a combination of a fighting game and a management game, of course, because it is on the dreamcast, this game will cost a lot of money, but I feel it is worth it, unlike many games, this one is not able to be completed in one day, if you manage to become the champion of one boxer, then new boxers appear to complete, at an estimate, I would suggest this game takes a month to complete, if played virtually non stop and needs no extra components to play (a certain controller)

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Round 2- PlayStation2

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Round 2- PlayStation2

The secret ingredient that madeReady 2 Rumble Boxingso popular with both avid gamers and ... more

budding gaming enthusiasts was the likeable yet
outlandish assortment of characters. InReady 2
Rumble Boxing Round 2, the formula is repeated by
adding as many as a dozen new characters, with
Shaquille O'Neal, Freke Deke, Robox RE SE4, Johnny
Blood, Mama Tua and even reclusive pop star
Michael Jackson leading the wacky pack of
fictional and semifictional boxers.A few of your
favourite characters from the first game return
inReady 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2, which features
updated, customisable costumes. Each character
also has his or her own special moves, including a
bounce in the female boxers that mimics the
real-life gravitational forces at play that are
found in the female characters in Tecmo'sDead or
Alive. In terms of gameplay, Sega has gone back to
the gym and reworked the Championship mode. This
time around, your fighting schedule is based
around a calendar of matches, as opposed to being
based solely on your prize winnings. As you win
your way through the championship mode, new gym
equipment will be available for you to use to
build your skills. Some new training events have
been added, including stair climbing and rope
jumping. The most interesting part of the
Championship mode includes the addition of a
wrestling-style backstory that sees backstage
shenanigans and feuds between the fighters. The
new Team Battle mode lets you choose up to eight
team members for an actual rumble with an opposing
group of pugilists from the game. Several new
camera angles have been added, which ups the total
number to nine. Also, players can expect to suffer
from computer-generated blurry vision after one
too many blows to the head. As a result of these
additions,Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2should be
a knockout (pun most certainly intended of
course). --Todd Mowatt

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing (GBA)- Game Boy Advance

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing (GBA)- Game Boy Advance

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2is the first GBA fighting game and that's a lot of weight to ... more

carry on its muscular and well-rounded shoulders.
But Midway's baby has been a hit on several
systems already, merging boxing with hilarity and
featuring wild characters like Afro Thunder, Mama
Tua and more--all outfitted with power moves and
special taunts. The GBA version looks good; it
features loads of colour and everything from the
taunts to Michael Buffer's famous tagline "Let's
get ready to rumble" is intact. Unfortunately, the
gameplay isn't.Ready to Rumble 2for the GBA is a
2-D fighting game, not a 3-D one like before. You
can move forward and backward, block and punch.
Move while punching and you get an uppercut or a
short jab. There's almost no sense of damage as
you hit these poorly animated foes and this takes
all the personality out of the game.There are 11
characters in total: some favourites from the
original games and two new unlockable
ones--Michael Buffer as "Rumble Man" (yawn) and...
Michael Jackson. There are four modes of play:
arcade-style, championship, training and survival
(where you've got to fight each opponent until you
go down flat). You can create your own boxer if
you like and participate in a few
mini-training-games like rumble pads,
weightlifting and the speed bag.WhatReady to
Rumble 2amounts to is a perfectly good and great
looking Game Boy Color game but it doesn't do
boxing justice. It isn't nearly as good asReady to
Rumbleon other platforms and it just doesn't fit
in with the other, mostly fantastic, GBA launch
titles.--Andrew S Bub
