Advantages: Saw what it was like firsthand Disadvantages: I didn't win
Ahem, allow me to introduce myself. I am that gorgeous creature who was seen a couple of weeks ago on BBC2's ReadySteadyCook! Yup, you heard right, me and my gorgeous daughter were the first contestants of the new season.
Let me tell you first hand about the show. It was a blast! When we were chosen for the show, we had to write a list of foods that we like and don't like. What we would want to have in a gourmet bag, in a standard bag and a budget bag. From the list of items that we gave, 5 items are chosen. They are determined by a food economist on the basis of nutritional value and items that work well together. My bag contained steak, fresh corn on the cob, spinach, red onion and sweet potato.

Advantages: Children can make their own milkshakes Disadvantages: Have to be a bit careful with the motor
The ReadySteadyCook Milkshake Maker is priced around £7.00 and can be bought from most department stores and supermarkets (ours came from Woolworths). Approximately half a jug of milk makes an average beaker-size milkshake. You put the milk ...
This is one of the better cooking programmes. At one stage there were so many cooking programmes that it became annoying.
Well I really like this cooking programme, its presented by the ever entertaining and somewhat flamboyant Ainsley Harriot.
Basically, two contestants have to go out and buy some ingredients up to £5, the two chiefs then have to cook something up for their allocated contestant in twenty minutes. Ainsley says ‘Ready, steadycook’ and they start cooking.
It’s a very useful programme because the recipes are cheap and you can buy the ingredients at your local supermarket and it only takes twenty minutes to prepare. I, normally check teletext for the recipe if the dish they served up was good.
They always manage to cook up something that looks very appetising, they really do a very good ...
