Real is a magazine for women. It came out last year, so it is quite a new magazine on the market. It comes out every fortnight and costs only £1.50, which is not that bad a price at all. This magazine is now selling for £1 which is a real bargain, and definitely worth the money.
The front page of the magazine is glossy and always has a different woman on the front. The front page also advertises some of the stories that are featuring in the magazine.
I have issue 4 which is from the 26th of February to the 11th of march. I will now give you an idea from this magazine what it is like, to see if you would like it or not. There are 122 pages so there is plenty to read.
First of all there is the contents page. Here
you will find the following categories:- Regulars Travel Food Family Life Features Fashion Home and Shopping Health and Beauty.
These are in every magazine, so you will always know the differnt types of subjects that are going to be in the magazine.
There is a letter page, where the letters are based on features that have been in the previous copies of Real magazine. They always have a star letter, who wins something, which is different every fortnight. This time it is some skincare products.
Real Men - Here you will find a story based on a man. The story this time is called "What men think makes us good in bed".
Real Life - Here is true stories from people who read the magazine. One of them is called "Greeting Greedy". This story is based on a couple who have won the lottery. Another story is about patsy palmer who played Bianca in Eastenders. It is about mental illness. It also covers what other people say about the illness too. Another story is for Mothers Day called "Last a Lifetime".
Home makeover - This is where you get a makeover on your home. It tells you a story about the person and what they have changed and bought for there home.
Real celebrity - Here they write about a famous person. This fortnight it is about Tom Cruise. You also get an A4 sized picture of him too. This is good for any fans out of there of him.
Reportage - This features a woman who wanted help in attracting men. She signed up to a flirting academy, so you can see what happened there.
Heartland - This is celebrities who have been on diets. It also covers people who have lost weight and there stories an d 10 reasons to feel good.
Upclose - This is the health and beauty section. Here it covers:- Salon v's home treatment Who will age the fastest dance yourself fit Sexual healing
Problem pages - These are split in to 2 catergories. There is the whole body health section. This is sending in your problems based on health to Dr John Briffa. Then there is advice problems where you write to kate Saunders about anything you want to know about.
Healthlife - This covers things on people's health like body image.
family Life - This is based on children. There is a story about being bullied. There is a kids zone which shows are they drinking enough and what games to play. Then there is another story about teaching your children the value of money.
Food - Here they have different receipes to try out every fortnight. This time they have based it on french food. They also include pictures too, so you can see what the food looks like. It always look very nice and delicious.
Home Solutions - This gives you steps to selling your home. It covers each room in your house.
Shopping - This gives you a list of what colours are in and what to buy for your home this fortnight.
Working Life - This tells you to find a coach to help you to find the right job. It then covers about money and what to buy online.
Travel - They do differnt places each fortnight. This time it is based on France. Also on Wales as well and why it is a cool place to go to.
Real night in and Real night out - here it tells you how to have a fun night in and all you need to know before going out.
Horoscopes - Find out what your star sign says for this fortnight.
This is everything you will find in Real magazine. Obviously the stories will be different each fortnight, but it gives you an idea what they are like.
The downside to the magazine is that they are always loads of advertisements in this magazine. I just usually look at them, do not bother reading what they say and flick on to the next page.
There is always lots of colourful pics to go with all the stories. These make it look more interesting to look at and read.
I recommend this magazine to anyone who likes to read about real life stories and want a good read for a good price!!
