Advantages: Ease of use Disadvantages: Stereo sound
...The only place where the Onkyo lacks is in the stereo department. I've just bought an Arcam CD192 which i feel could be greatly improved by bi-amping with a simple 2 channel. This however is overly picking as if you wish for great stereo you buy a stereo amp.
In conclusion this is a great AV amp and a good stereo amp. Well worth the price, WHF weren't wrong giving it 5 stars and best in category. ...

Advantages: Great Sound, look stylish Disadvantages: Amp is rather large
Bought this system a few months ago and have had great fun! We have it connected to our vcr, dvd, wii and sky and find the sound quality to be excellent,, not sure if the neighbours agree!!
The speakers look stylish. There are 2 front, 2 rear, centre and sub woofer. We have the two rear ones on stands (not included) but you can also mount them on the wall if wanted.
The amp is rather on the large size. It measures 434 (W) x 147 (H) x 417 (D) mm. ...

Advantages: Cheap price, 4 HDMI inputs, and HD audio compliant. Disadvantages: Not a lot!

It has 4 HDMI inputs and is HD audio and video compliant. It is easy to set up, and sounds fantastic with movies.
We have used the HD video scaler and normal DVDs look ...

Advantages: Easy to set-up, great sound, HDMI switching and upscaling Disadvantages: Cannot rename inputs
...receiver.
This one from Onkyo seemed just too cheap at under £400, but I decided to give it a go. First thing I noticed was the weight, it feels really light compared to my Pioneer. The only other slight negative is that you cannot rename inputs, so 'game/tv' cannot be changed to ready 'PS3' on the front display. A minor thing, but worth mentioning.
Everything else on this unit is a positive. It supports all the new sound formats, is very well ... ...little mic, position it as instructed on your screen and set the Onkyo going. Lots of funny noises and about 10 minutes later it is ready to go. I thought this was worth mentioning as not all people are technically minded, so having this auto feature is a great addition. ...
