Yamaha DSP-Z7, AV powerhouse, awesome picture & sound. Advantages: Excellent picture / sound. Amp very good upscaler. Future proof built in. Disadvantages: It is heavy. Amp in short supply This is one serious bit of equipment. It's flexibility with connections make long term future proof. The sound and picture quality is awesome. If it is used in a room that can't take 7.1 number of speakers , use the unused 2 channels to bi-amp the front left & right speakers. It has a multi room capability. It is an excellent upscaler. Five HDMI in, two HDMI's out ( two tv's or tv and projecter ). The amp is built like a tank - solid and weighty. ... ...under less strain whilst giving better performance. A lot of the top of the range DSP-Z11's design and features have found their way into this amp. My one moan is that it's in short supply due to it's success and you may have to wait several weeks for delivery - check suppliers stock. ... Sound beyond belief with the YAMAHA RX-V457 Advantages: Perfect sound quality & just phenomenal all round Disadvantages: there are none It is really the best peice of equiptment in my house, i have it set up to the jamo's surround sound system, my 44" pioneer plasma and it interlinks with everything from my DVD player and my sky+. When this baby is increased to full volume for movies like pearl harbour you really cant be in the room, it sounds like there is a full blown war in my house, even from the outside. The sound does not get fuzzy as the volume increases the furniture just ... ...the minus 20 section, it is loud when the volume is at zero so you have to decrease it into the minus numbers. When I purchased this product a professional installed it and gave me a rundown of all its features so it was easy to understand and operate. The instruction manual is there for convenience however you wont be needing it. Best 7.1 CHANNEL AMPLIFIER Advantages: Good product with many specifications Disadvantages: Ps3 compatibility issues ...set up. I am using Yamaha RX-V2700 with B&W MT - 30 speakers. This amplifier is great and sounds better than a cinema. Cost : £1000 . We use it for multiple home entertainment for eg : CDplayer , Sky HD, Blue ray, Ipod, and PC. Very good receiver for a budget price Advantages: very good quality, nice design, remote is good, cheap Disadvantages: no HDMI, fixed power cable I bought this receiver (in black color) around one year ago for about 250€ and I am extremely satisfied with it. The device is standard size, not too heavy and nicely designed with clean and simple layout. The buttons are clear and nicely sized, the labels are a bit hard to read on the black surface when sun or other bright light is shining on the device. The display on the front is orange colored, has adjustable brightness and is easy to read even ... ...even maybe too small because the buttons are somewhat cramped but after getting used to the layout it is quite usable. The sensitivity of the infrared receiver on the device is good, I can direct the remote in almost any direction and the device will always pick up a signal. Denon is music and movies to your ears! Advantages: quality, amazing sound, good looks, value for money Disadvantages: no HDMI input (but thats changed on newer models) ...this price point, this particular Denon AVR has gone from 1900 to 1910 (as the current model) thus the model before the 1907 was the 1906 and the one after was the 1908, well, you get the idea. Which each release the general product is improved. There are models both up and down, with Denon’s flagship Audio-Visual Receiver the AVR-4810 leading the way with 9.1 channels and more inputs than you can shake a stick at. Of course, the price reflects the ... ...speakers and a shiny new Denon upscaling dvd player, I opted for this AVR. At the time it cost me £350, though it seems prices have risen a little since. No surprise really as you now get HDMI input and output in the newer models including DTS HD and True Dolby Digital HD.
