has anybody had this problem using Lloyds Duo card for online bookings Question about Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo Credit Card by Meadowhall

Rang card company to say was about to book expensive air tickets. Then rang airline made bookings but payment would not go thru. Rang cc company again, went through fraud questions all ok said they woud lift block. Late afternoon telephone call asking me to ring fraud dept again re amount. Went through whole rigmaroll again but by then had issued cheque to airline for tix. What is use of credit card? Advice how to avoid this again please
