Excellent Tapas in Bath (not Madrid)
Review of Madrid Spanish Tapas Restaurant, Bath by cr01

Advantages: Super quality tapas
Disadvantages: Bath is a long way away....

While it’s not everyone’s favourite, I always enjoy Spanish food with its abundance of garlic, olive oil, tomatoes and fish. Tapas is a super way to go as you get lots of different tastes all in one meal. Sometimes Tapas can be a little too oily and rough ... Read review

Oh dear! I obviously have a very old fashioned idea as to what is "reasonable" as far as admission charges are concerned! There were five of us and I simply wasn't prepared to pat the entry charge there the l;ast time that we were in Bath. R. by RICHADA

The George Inn, phantom drink orders and earwigs
Review of The George Inn, Bathampton by Godlesswanderer

Advantages: Good value, outside seating area next to a canal.
Disadvantages: Terrible customer service, insects in the vinegar

Disadvantages: Quite expensive

The Roman Baths as you see them today aren't really Roman - they were built in Victorian times, but the Romans did bathe here some 2000 years ago. I visited in 2010 and admission to the Baths was £11.50 for adults (concessions available) and there is a Sa ... Read review

And by all accounts she wasn't very keen on Bath and its snobby society! Mrs R and her sister enjoyed this one last summer when we were there, although we weren't aware of the walking tour. I will have to return to have a look myself, as it was I was left to take her parents on a tour of Royal Crescent and the gardens whilst they enjoyed an hour or so enveloped in Jane Austin! sounds lovely and friendly and cava for brekfast sounds good as do the flapjacks in the room. Would be nice for a treat. by duskmaiden
Zoe_Page - If i'm completely honest, £99 for a night was more than I would have liked to have paid but when I looked online for a room, it seemed most B&Bs in bath were fully booked and there weren't many available for under £80. Oldfields looked decent and wasn't that much more expensive that staying in a less appealing establishment. I think Bath is generally quite pricey or maybe I was looking in the wrong places. For the good location, the excellent service, good food and comfortable room, £99 was acceptable. Killiefan - Thank you for you encouraging comment :-) by janetter
