Review of Aldi Shipstern's Original Bitter by stephen38

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Lowered ABV and lost its character and value.

You say Aldi Shipsterns Original Bitter is 4%. For some time its been 3.6% AND JUST NOW its become 2.8%. Aldi website still pictures the 3.6% can and price. The 2.8% has the can colours - previuosly white top, red base, now inverted. Same price as before ... Read review

Welcome to Ciao. This review would be better if you said more about the taste (which you say has changed), but what you do say is clear and helpful, even if not complete. by a-true-ben

Review of Cobra Extra Smooth Premium Lager Beer by bettyboo47

Advantages: smooth and satisfying
Disadvantages: not always available in pubs

No I'm not an alcoholic Firstly I must say, I am not a big beer drinker. I have come to appreciate lager in my later years, but a bitter or an ale would be a step too far for me. I remember vividly the first few days after having my children whe ... Read review

Brains Barry Island IPA - who says South Wales can't brew bitter
Review of Brains Brewery Barry Island IPA by cr01

If it's cheap, hop to the shop!
Review of Morland Brewery Old Hoppy Hen by sharper_fin

Advantages: A great beer
Disadvantages: It's too close to the established Old Speckled Hen

My Name is Shaun… I'm a big fan of the Morland's wonderful beer, Old Speckled Hen. It's a classic English ale that's been slaking many people's thirsts, including mine, since 1979. Not that I was of legal drinking age at that time but I've certain ... Read review

Review of Morland Brewery Old Nutty Hen Ale by sharper_fin

Advantages: Great taste
Disadvantages: Why is it a limited edition?

Morland have been brewing beer since 1711. I've not been drinking their product for all that time but I've certainly sunk a few of their pints in my adult life, especially their masterwork, Old Speckled Hen. Even though the company is no longer independen ... Read review
