I've done the same thing for my X-10, bought the 'cheap imitation' for a fraction of the price including a UV, polariser and flouresecent-light-balance filter. Trouble is, the spoked design lets dust in from the back, which defeats the object of keeping a UV filter on the camera as a dust protector. Therefore, I've also bought the awkward-to-find UV filter for the camera's actual thread - mine's a 40.5 mm. THEN, I put the lens hood on! by BNibbles
