You are so much the cynic - but there is some truth to this - at least for some women - but maybe you need to look for someone kind instead of looking like a supermodel? Not all women care about money you know at least not beyond making sure enough is left over to pay the rent and put food on the table. Product of the week – I agree that the new rules are a great improvement. Frankly I don't care how the products or chosen or why – but I don't think the £5 prize is too much. For those of us who generally make very little from the site (not because we're poor writers, but because we don't engage tactically or actively with the community side – having been burned on that score – or because we specialise is poor-payment categories) the occasional fiver is a welcome boost. / Current Issue: Again… I agree with everything except that payment objection. Non-product pieces are unpaid on Ciao, I think the current debate is partial recompense for this. / Short but Good is the only category I've ever won in… I tend to be verbose, but I also tend to like longer more considered reviews, so each to their own on this one. / Good Writing? No website around actually rewards "good writing" – but then that itself would be a subjective viewpoint. Define "good" in that context? I think Ciao have addressed the worst abuses of their comps (the voting aspect) and I'm happy with that. Lx by hiker
