My Favourite Triple
Review of Tim Hampson Emma Elizabeth Welsh Triple Harp by Hannah714

Advantages: Beautiful sound, excellent quality, friendly/helpful harpmaker, can be customised
Disadvantages: handmade by sole trader so may have a wait

This is my all time favourite triple harp (and harp for that matter - only one that comes close is Tim's James Anthony - but that's a pedal and I prefer the triple). Far better quality than mass produced instruments/other triple harps that i have seen an ... Read review

It's a Double Bass daddio!
Review of Double Bass by padfoot100

Advantages: They're beautiful.
Disadvantages: You'll cry if you have to sell it.

It's difficult to buy a double bass in the simple way you might buy a good quality electric guitar or electric bass . For a guitar you can sort of decide if you're Fender, Gibson, Gretsch etc type of person by seeing what you're favourite players use on t ... Read review

Jeff's making more noise with his Windsor Alto Sax
Review of Windsor Alto Saxophone by JeffFromPoole

Advantages: Great sounding instrument at a real bargain price
Disadvantages: only comes with one reed and the sling supplied is a bit thin.

I've been of work for about six weeks now, following surgery on my left shoulder and idle hands go surfing for toys. Following a bit of a bonus and some commission and remembering a hankering to try the sax, my surfing fingers chanced on this little beau ... Read review

Could you add any more specific details such as how to care for it (ie. whether the surface is likely to be easily marked) and whether you get any covers, cleaning cloths etc with it, the dimensions, does it have any unusual selling points? You might also want to include something about your own personal experience of using it, why you chose to buy this particular one etc. by KateHurst

An Excellent choice. The Yamaha Piano is the best
Review of Yamaha U3 - 52 Acoustic Upright U Series Piano by eddymonsoon

Advantages: A bright evenly toned piano for all abilities
Disadvantages: Some of the older models do not have the soft close lid

Cheap Reeds For Clarinet, But Poor Quality
Review of Rico Clarinet Reeds by jan007

Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: low quality, split easily

Rico clarinet reeds were the first ones I was introduced to when I started to play clarinet. These a re natural reeds and tend to vary in quality. I started with a very soft one (they range form 1 to 5) and progressed through to a three. I have never got ... Read review

I attempted to learn the violin some years ago but after a lifetime of guitar-playing, I just couldn't get my brain around trying to play something that has no frets! It really gave me respect for those who can play this instrument well and get all the notes on-pitch! by thereddragon

Advantages: Great value, great sound, weighted keys, ease of transport.
Disadvantages: None

Quick review of Yamaha YAS23 Eb Alto Saxophone
Review of Yamaha YAS23 Eb Alto Saxophone by frrankie

I bought my YAS 23 in Dec 1981. Lasted me very well all the way up to 2005, when i had it overhauled and then it sounded and behaved brand new. Sold it to a good friend. It's a good sax. I desired a YAS 62 or upper. I got a bargain on a Selmer Serie 3. I miss Yamaha but i play a yamaha NP30 keyboard and a Yamaha digital drumset and i will buy a Sax yamaha microphone. i recommmend YAS 23 to my friends. james frankie

Quick review of Hohner Chrometta 14 Hole C
Review of Hohner Chrometta 14 Hole C by Debashis1019

I have just bought a Chrometta 14 C from one of Hohner's retail outlets. I currently also possess two Super Chromonica 12 Cs. I have been playing harmonics since the last 30 years and am quite adept at it. About 20 years back, I had bought an "Orchestra Special" version of Chrometta 14. One doesn't get that now-a-days.That was a brilliant piece of instrument with great sound quality. But the present model of Chrometta 14 is pretty ordinary, it sounds hollow and leaky and for a single reed player using tongue blocking it is not at all ergonomic.

Quick review of King 665 Eb Alto Saxophone
Review of King 665 Eb Alto Saxophone by lgsax

I bought my King 665 Eb Alto in 2004 and it has been a great starter saxophone. Since 2004, I have also gotten a Selmer Mark VI Super Action 80 and a Yamaha and of the 3 the King is what I take around most (I am in marching band, so it is smart to take the "worst" of the three out in the harsh conditions). The King is a perfect starter saxophone and can last through some very tough conditions. It is a very sturdy, durable horn with a good sound when you match it with the right type of reed. I highly recommend it to any beginner saxophone player or someone who wants a good marching sax!
