Hohner harmonicas - obtaining spares
Review of Hohner Diatonic Harmonicas by Benfro-Rob

Advantages: Nice tones and playability
Disadvantages: Some new harmonicas have incorrect reed gaps. Lack of spare reeds

I regularly use Hohner harmonicas to play jam sessions. The models that I find best for traditional music are the Pro MS Series and the Special 20 series. Both give a good tone and volume (though not to compete with bagpipes or accordions!), but spare ... Read review

Blown Away
Review of Buffet RC Prestige Bb Clarinet by lyndzi76

Advantages: Pure sound, gentle key changes
Disadvantages: Pricey

I have owned my Buffet Crampon clarinet for 7 years now and has served me very well. I started playing at school and have had the same clarinet all the time. Although I don't really play anymore I can not bring myself to sell it. I paid £800.00 for ... Read review

good review ;) by martinrobinson
I have an E11 that I also learnt on at school. I'd say here youd be better to put more info here rather than pin pointing. Having tried the Prestige a couple of times, my E11 is simpler, although very rare now and was at the time, the one below the Prestige. I found the weight a bit heavy on the Prestige plus the over elaborate keys meant getting to springs/mechanisms for custom adjustment could be trickier. by Nar2

Great Value Beginner Flute, Quality Construction
Review of Beaumont Piper by kevin233

Advantages: Good value, very attractive, great for beginners
Disadvantages: No intermediate flute available yet

In my opinion this is one of the best beginner flutes available and at such a good price. It says on the leaflet that it is made in China, it is far better than any of the other Chinese flutes available. The sound is beautiful and the hand-engraving looks ... Read review

Welcome to Ciao, you really need to add a lot more to this review to make it helpful, great start but take a look at other reviews (people with purple, red, orange, bronze, silver and gold spots should have good reviews) to get an idea what to include! Rebecca Xx by mum2boys82

Disadvantages: cheaply made, can break quite easily, far too expensive

Vuvuzela: the thrills and the tricks
Review of Vuvuzela by donnaheff

Advantages: just perfect for the world cup
Disadvantages: it is too loud

The vuvuzela I heard is a part of the south african culture. It is a plastic horn like or trumpetlike device that when blown produces a lot of noise that researchers have put at about 120 decibels. History though has it that the origins of this instrume ... Read review

I think that anything that makes players lose concentration should be used with caution . . . the drum playing during the cricket matches made it hard to hear commentary easily despite the noise-proofing; I think the buzzing might well be similar . . . I wonder did Germany practice buzzing as well as the funny new ball in advance? . . . ♥ jesi ♥ by jesi
In principle I like them, but the noise can get irritating during games. by torr

Review of the kelly 7c Trumpet mouthpiece.
Review of Kelly TP7CCC Clear Trumpet 7C Mouthpiece by thetrumpettooter

Advantages: Great value for money. Great short term, or for testing around for a new size.
Disadvantages: Slight tone difference and seems to get stuck in the leadpipe easier. Dont look very proffessiona

In my opinion the whole kelly plastic mouthpieces are value for money. They are built to the exact shape as the metalic mouthpieces of the same type and if blindfolded, it is hard to tell the difference. Many frown upon people that use plastic mouthpieces ... Read review

If it eases the need to make all those duck-sounds through it to warm it, and your lips, up, then it's good; if it means you see the "gross lip vibrations" perhaps it's not so good... A little more context for your review would get you a higher rating or three. by pgn0

This is a review that I could have really enjoyed, the trouble here is that it is so very brief. My advice is to have a read around this site and get a better idea of what we give good rates to, if you come back and elaborate on this one - having gained the experience from other reviews I'll be more than happy to re-rate for you.
