Behemoth with Brilliant Image Quality and Resolution
Review of LG 795FT by
PCLM
Advantages: Very high image quality, high resolutions considering its age, high refresh rates possible, solid
Disadvantages: Incredibly large/heavy, the costs are on par with its quality - fairly high
Am I a philistine for disliking flatscreen/LCD monitors? I find them to have inferior image quality, a significant and apparently generally accepted chance of having "dead pixels", you have to be sitting at just the right angle otherwise the colours star ...

A tube monitor fit for students
Review of Viewpoint 17'' VP1770 OA by
rommal
Advantages: Assuming you got it used - it's cheap; good picture/color qty; supports 85 Hz
Disadvantages: Heavy, doesn't support 1280x1024 at 85 Hz,17", not so easy to adjust picture
At the moment of this being written (november 2008) this monitor is outdated, but when you are a student and money is an issue... Anything that works is good enough. The fact that 1280x1024 works only with 60 Hz is a bit annoying - and damaging to the eye ...
