Review of Share Paranormal Experiences by xxkellywxx

Advantages: Gives you a sense of comfort,

I was always interested in the paranormal, especially "Ghosts". Some say it is just a figment of our imagination and other say they are real. I have had a few experiences in my life that leads me to believe they do exist, but not as scary ghosts with whi ... Read review

And tying the ghost thing into "science" it may well be the other side of the coin to "schrodeingers cat" in quantum mechanics. Which states reality may only exist when we observer it otherwise things are in a "state of dead or alive" I've always thought that that their is an actual absolute reality, but that perhaps humans just cant observe it as we are limited by the way we think and possibly even more by being part of science and not separate from it. by newprideexperiadj2

My head rules over my heart, when it comes to newsprint’s survival. On this basis the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson is a sign of the times, you knew it was going to happen but couldn’t imagine it *actually* happening. Talk of Ferguson’s retirement ... Read review

There is a myth in regards to newsprint when it comes to the environment. Far more emissions are being used for news-feed apps, devices, mobi-media, and armies of workstations to cope with the traffic demand. All of which use an infinite more energy than the producing, logistics, teams behind a newspaper. There is also a major flaw in your review: violent solar rays will knock-out the entire communication network by disrupting the earth's magnetic field. They're over-due as you read this: In turn we will go back fifty years. Devices will be deemed useless and we'll be back reading papers. This is not fiction. by 1st2thebar

Some good points well made. As for the waste, there is the added burden of the fuel costs to get the newspapers to the sellers every morning. Not exactly carbon neutral. by kevin121
The debate is not an age issue or should be gender orientated. Newspapers are recyclable so I cannot comprehend the wastage argument. There is no upper-hand via re-sizing text online either duly because of a contraption called the magnifying glass. Page Three, has distracted consumers not enhanced sales - they only still have it because it is a constitution within itself, work's like a corporate identity. Whenever, I read 'the machine' as expressed - my mind refers back to the German film Metropolis (1927) - odiously scientific and off-the-wall - Overall, your last statement is a valid one. by 1st2thebar

May I add that Thatcher closed less mines simply because there were less left to close. The difference was; Thatcher did it in spite as Wilson did it because they were non-profitable. No the Tories call the Bedroom Tax something entirely different - but is comes down to the same thing: which ultimately means the threat of evictions and homelessness, a searing condemnation of 21st century capitalism. by 1st2thebar

Some excellent points. by catsholiday
I respected her moral stance and hard-working philosophies . . . but . . . she closed down excellent London Teaching Hospitals for no other reason than that she thought they were too successful; she tried to push the expertise into the other districts and parts of the UK, thus possibly contributing to the state of the NHS with money being more important than care . . . then, at one point, certain benefits for low-paid workers were changed within the time period of validity of entitlement --- no longer being available once new forms were printed, as the 'tick-box' vanished on the form . . . she was self-serving . . . but so are many of our politicians now . . . I think there was too great an emphasis on privatisation for the sake of it, and a lack of compassion for those who were on the margins . . . and that was a bad thing for Britain . . . ♥ ~ Jesi by jesi

Disadvantages: Long summer breaks do create a 'dip' in learning which needs to be managed

Teachers are contracted to teach for 195 days each year and expected to complete another 5 training days. That leaves 165 days when students are "on holiday" or, to put it another way, at home with their parents. Is that too many? In my opinion, no. Let' ... Read review

Interesting read, but I know a lot of teachers and if they didn't have that six weeks' break they'd be even more stressed than they are now, and that's saying something! by Absinthe_Fairy
I also think the six weeks holiday is too long. My daughter loves school and cant wait to get back and see all her friends. I also think after such a long time off school it is more difficult for them to get back into the swing of things, never mind us parents who have to juggle work at the same time. by prettypolly40
