Advantages: lightweight for an SLR, easy to use, has video, swivel screen, fairly cheap to pick up used
Disadvantages: screen swivels from base, not brilliant at high ISO, no motor drive, can underexpose on auto

A good camera. D7000 is worth looking at as well, and particularly now because they've stopped production in order to make space for the D7100, so the price will be coming down significantly :) by mc_uk100

Canon 600D - Great Value For Money!
